Sigh, another game, coming thick and fast at the moment, or so it feels. Think Everton will be expecting an easy win here, and I think most of us feel that way as well. Everton 1-3 Watford Deeney, Deeney, Niang Mazzarri gives the middle finger to the fans.
I'm expecting nothing from this game. In fact, I'd be surprised if we even scored a goal between now and the end of the season, although I would be disappointed if we didn't get a home consolation goal against Man City. 2-0 Everton for me, littered with anonymous performances.
I'm expecting a decent performance. If we play like we did against Liverpool (Defensively Solid, Attackingly Inept) we'll get a point for sure.
Everton's season finished last night. 7th place is all theirs. Their players should be well and truly on the beach - Europa League for them is now settled.
Does anyone know how many injuries we've picked up since the Leicester game? Until I know, I wont be making a prediction.
3 - 1 to the Hornets Gomes; Janmaat, Prodl, Mariappa, Holebas (if fit); Success, Cleverley, Doucoure, Niang; Okaka, Deeney.
One thing I'm wondering is, with two games in quick succession, which one will we reserve our 'A'-game for? Or does it not matter at this stage of the season? I'm going to go with an unchanged side from Leicester, anyway.
A chance for Walter to put himself in the shop window for next season A chance for Deeney to show Koeman what he can do A chance to play Janmatt in his preferred position of left wing back A chance for Amrabat to get an assist A chance for Success to play 12 minutes A chance for Capoue to turn up, apparently he has just been found outside Wembley looking for the 2016 fa cup semi final A chance for Hull and Swansea
I just remembered, Cleverley can't play in this game. I know we're signing him permanently in the Summer, but until then he's still technically an Everton player, so there's going to have to be a change. Behrami in for Cleverley?
2-2 My 2 brothers support Everton so I'll be happy when this one is over.. Lukaku is extremely potent at Goodison and it is their last home game of the season.
If Chelsea win the league before we play them on Monday, then we may have a chance if their players relax a little.
I don't think Conte will let the relax! Everton had a real issue with our set plays at the Vic so maybe we could that to our advantage? Hopefully Lukaku decides not to turn up....
Stekelenburg set to miss tomorrow with injury, which is good news for us as I think he's better than Robles of the two.
I see Everton will be without 9 players. So if that means we'll be playing against just 2 men, then I'll revise my prediction. I thought we'd get thrashed, but if it's 2 v 11 then I think it will just be a 0-2 loss. http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/everton-ma...ine-players-unavailable-watford-clash-1621153
I reckon we'll start on the front foot , have two or three good chances that we dither with and then Everton will score and we will give up.Troy will come on about the 60th minute after we are 2-0 down and then with 7 mins to go Isaac and Zuniga will come on .
Don't be daft. If a player is unavailable, it's an unwritten rule that we have to play someone out of position in their place, rather than one of the more obvious options. After Zuniga and Amrabat's underwhelming attempts at playing central midfield, I think it's time to give big Rene a go there.
Ooooh love the new board Really can't see us winning but maybe break our away duck and SCORE AWAY . 1-1 for me.
My expectations for this BEFORE Mazzarri press conference - Bright start, pretty passing in midfield, one shot on target in first half, concede goal about 35th minute, give up, concede a second about 60 minutes, go home. However, my expectations AFTER Mazzari press conference - see above. "This is normal .... "
Should be a pretty routine win the for the so-called 'Golden Boys'. Our form is poor but we have more than enough to win this game on paper. Everton 1-2 Watford Deeney (og, 90+8); Capoue (71), Janmaat (90+11)
