I thought the refs decisions were pretty fair throughout and he did want to keep the game flowing apart from being a bit pinnikity over placement of throw-ins and set play plays. But I disagree with you over the bookings, I thought they were harsh and unnecessary.

I agree about the stewards, very good all round. Funny though, I disagree about the singing, I quite enjoyed it and it was a lt better than the general silence that came from the home crowd.

Why was Diakite booked? I know he has a deserved reputation, but from my viewpoint it looked like a very soft booking.

I really hope so, because surely you have to play a formation that best suits the players you have at your disposal, rather than sticking rigidly to a system for the sake of it.

As far as home support goes these days, I thought they were one of the louder crowds I've seen this season

Rosler's done an incredible job at Wigan so far. Got them flying up the league, and an FA Cup semi final too, after winning at the Etihad.

Shows what can be achieved if you make the right appointment.

And before you all jump on me, that's not a snide way of saying we might not have done. Wigan had a more settled, balanced squad, so Rosler was able to hit the ground running.

They're obviously blessed with very good fitness levels too, to still be doing so well at the moment after all the matches they've already played, what with Europe and the like.

Not sure if you were at the game yesterday Alban.. but i was reduced to watching that betting stream and without commentary the audio made it sound like there was 60 thousand there and not 15 thousand!

Fair play to the travelling Hornets though, they certainly sang a lot. Boring homogenised chants? Maybe.. but isnt that all clubs these days?

I was there, Wigan had a singing area in the stand to the left and while they didn't sing all game, when they did the majority of that stand joined in which is more than I've seen at any other away game this season

I'm sure you had a great time sitting down in a row down the front, contributing absolutely nothing to the atmosphere

This is obviously based on the assumption that Nani can attract these players and coax Peter Kennedy out of retirement.

His agent screwed him over. He may have had a barren run towards the end of last season, but think about what he could have done had he stayed?

I worry though that Abdi will never play again :(

If Vydra wanted to stay here, he would have. He had the option. He's an adult, he could have decided for himself.

He thought he'd walk into a Premier League team and do what he did he last season. He failed. Maybe he'll come back and be all grown up, but I heavily doubt he'd walk back into that dressing room apologising for being a big headed **** to the biggest of big headed ***** Deeney.

Wanted to test himself at a higher level. Utterly disgraceful. How dare somebody want to play for another team. What exactly should he apologise for?

Can Vydra be persuaded to come back? Yes.

Can his agent be persuaded that his best interests financially lie in getting Watford to the Premier League and then earning a big move? Yes

Would he enhance our team? Yes

Can the damage between him and Deeney after their falling out be repaired? Not a chance

I'm afraid we'll never see Vydra back at Watford as long as Troy Deeney lives and breathes.

I'm not saying he should apologise at all. But to lay all the blame at his agents door isn't correct.

He made a decision that he thought would benefit his career based on advice from his national coach.

It proved to be the wrong decision.

There is nothing wrong with being ambitious. It's not like he shat on the club on his way out, he was here for a year *on loan*.

Can't be bothered going over the inquest of the game - better team won, end of, However, has the Marquee room been mentioned? Looking for something to eat/drink before the game, was invited by a very affable chap from Wigan AFC into the away only function room with a huge TV , bar and (admittedly fairly poor) hot food. I have never known anything like it! We should take note. It lulls the away crowd into a soporific stupor, hampering vocal support!

Seeing as Deeney is the one who has fallen out with half the squad and (maliciously) pushed Diakite off the bus, surely it is Deeney that should go?

What I 'didn't' do is vom a load of alcohol over the stalls and make the cleaner's day. You can't imagine how much we all thought that gastric output would contribute to the atmosphere. The Hitler salute the nice lady steward has us jumping up and down with Watford pride

What have one or two idiots got to do with whether a chant is boring or not?

Personally, I enjoy the chants, even the repetitive ones, I join in when I can but I don't even know half the words and I doubt if the players care either. Surely the away "noise" is just there to show our team support, not to win any sort of song "worthiness" contest.

Am I the only one who would like to see Deeney move on in the summer? Deeney ain't a nice bloke and is incredibly over rated. McGugan and Faraoni can jog on too. Bleedin lightweights

On for 20 goals again I would like him to stay. No idea if he's a nice bloke or not and don't really give a to55 to be honest.
PS agree with the T shirt though:naughty:

Because if I stayed at home, I wouldn't have the pleasure of paying to watch emesis and have people make my ears bleed

Almost the same as my coming on here and watching your verbal diarrhoea and your posts making my retina burn
