http://mbl.is/mm/frettir/frett.html?nid=1280991 Translation: "Heidar to bolton 1.9 million rising to 2.2million"
It didnt say Watford are going to sign him it said we are interested in him and were considering a move for him.
Evening mate, have to disagree with you. I remember stories from Iceland saying Heidar had agreed terms with Hamburg, Reading, Sheffield United and many others in the past. Also they claimed we'd signed Vvart Henry Finboggason (sp?) who is now on trial at Brizzle City. I'll believe it when it's official.
I wouldn't bet against that article being written after someone saw that article on here. And with all the ******** flying around here, we cannot possibly trust it.
I'd love to see it happen, and Doug for one certainly seems adamant it will. If he doesn't I hope we don't sign DJ Campbell, really think we can do better!
Not when you said said 'done deal...hilarious....' or 'if the stories from iceland it's bound to happen'?
Heidar - if we were to push the boat out and take a risk. Fowler - see above. Various others on loan, why not Nicholas Bendtner from Arsenal?
Hh To Bolton?? GloryHorns has this evening learned that key target Heidar Helguson has agreed to join Premiership side Bolton Wanderers, rather than make a return to the Hornets. Despite agreeing a fee with Fulham for the Icelander, and holding talks with the player, Watford have been unable to persuade former hero Heidar Helguson to step down a level to rejoin the club. Instead, Helguson has opted to move to Bolton Wanderers, despite previous suggestions he was unwilling to move his family up north. Bolton have sealed a 1.9 million pound deal, possibly rising to 2.2 million pounds.
mainly because its gloryhorns, every transfer seems to have so many different stories and hundreds of "people in the know", it may end up to be true but at the moment im not cinvinced. However i've also always said i never thought H would come.
Its true now.... http://www.bwfc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/General/0,,1004~1075879,00.html Shame but if he wants more money to sit on the bench each week which is what probably will happen then so be it but its a strange move for Bolton as they already have Davies and Nic the sulk up front. I expect its the extra money over actually playing football problem some footballers seem to have these days. Suppose H thinks he can still doa job in the Prem though.
I doubt it's money, H was the first player to agree tot he 12% deferal when we were in trouble, before even speaking to his agent. They are a top 10 premiership outfit, who he is likely to play 20 + games for. Good luck H
With Anelka being targeted by the ArseI don't see why HH should not get quite a bit of football for bolton.
Our fee was apparently accepted. So three senarios; 1. He wanted to stay in the prem despite having to move home. 2. The terms offered by Bolton were better, length of deal, wages, bonus etc. 3. A mixture of the two above. If you really want someone and have the cash you go and get them (look at Beckham), but once again we fail to deliver the big signings and the money stays tucked away under lock and key. God I hope DJ Campbell isn't Aidys idea of someone to excite the fans.
I agree with Berkohorn. Also I am not too disappointed that HH has decided to snub us. IMHO, although he is a good player, I have always thought he is not really a "Team Player". He is too much of an individual and has never seemed able to gel with a striking partner.
Read my reply to Helguson coming or going thread I told you all last night it was 60/40 and bolton were after him. Aidy obviously thought he was getting H though and that is why he said about exciting the fans. should have thought a bit before saying that. DJ Campbell is on his way. But let us hope now that if H is not coming then Hendo does not go to Preston.
Jobr - totally agree that it would have been terms - probably length of contract. I think HH was the man Aidy had in mind to excite the fans but I think it could have been a big mistake. Despite that i would have liked him to have given us strength in depth Like VOR says would he have fitted in as a "team player"? Not sure. As for DJ - unproven at any level beyond the lowest reaches of the league. He could turn out to be something special but again it would be another punt like Hoskins. Why the fock can't we actually step up to the plate, pay the money it takes and sign someone who can do the job? I want Hendo to stay, always have, and now he must.
