    Rudolph the red nose reindeer,
    Had a very shiny nose,
    And was particularly good at,
Fighting off evil Weredeers when it guards the right house...

For that night HarrowOrn had been selected for the kill and it was HarrowOrn that Rudolph decided to protect.

"An easy kill tonight methinks, and no-one will miss the smelly town bum. This should be an easy meal!" thought the hungry devil deer.

But easy it was not. As the Weredeer peered through HarrowOrn's window it felt an almighty painful sensation in its left thigh as Rudolph's antler connected with a punch more ferocious than Anthony Joshua in the first round of a world title fight. It was also particularly painful due to the niggling injury the Weredeer had after being taken out at footy the week before and which still had an almighty bruise.

The weredeer, stunned and unsure, spun around to retaliate but was more dazzled than Bobby Pereyra by the glowing red flashing across it's eyes from Rudolph's nose.

Confused and dazed, the Weredeer whimpered off into the distance to lick it's wounds and think itself lucky that at least it wouldn't get a three match ban.

HarrowOrn was none the wiser having drunken a bottle of scotch and eaten 3 bits of thrown out chicken from the bin behind the local KFC.

Meanwhile across the village, the same luck could not be said for Mike who, while on a stealing spree... I mean business trip... had picked the wrong pocket. As his hand went inside the jacket of this unsuspecting villager he felt a cold damp wet coarse fur (no, not Mrs Ploddlewood, the second Weredeer). Startled, he spun back but it was too late. A flash of claw and he was gone. A victim of his own greed...

    Mike was GOOD.

The village is open. Voting closes at 8pm as seemed to work well today. Squibba, if you can't vote then email me and I'll do it for you.

I'm off to Wembley tonight for my sins so will keep an eye on the voting and just do a simple reveal of whether the lynching is GOOD or BAD with no write up... as long as I get a signal!

I viewed Jellywood because we don't have much to go on still. But unfortunately for us it turns out he is GOOD.

I choose him on the basis that he has low activity and this raises my suspicion.

Morning all. Does this tell us that all the messages are from the Seer? I'd say definitely.

    Nice one Guardian.

Won't be about as much today as I'm on a training course, (medical of course), but will check in as often as I can.

    Yes Guardian. You hero!

I now think, my theory on CB was a bit wrong and this was the wolf trying to frame him? Clever play from the wolf, but even smarter from the Guardian.

My eyes are on Diamond, by the way. The seer should view him tomorrow. Experienced player and has used similar tactics in the past as a wolf. I'll no doubt be killed off overnight now, so I will do my best to help the cause today.

Morning! Another bad night for Team Good, Evil are running rings around us at the moment! Here's the daily cracker joke:

What's the best way to kill a circus?

    Stab it in the juggler.

Earliest message so far, will be interesting to see if another comes or we just follow the pattern of only one a day. If it's another day with just one, then it seems safe to assume that all of them have been from the Seer and the baddy hasn't been posting, preferring just to watch us do his/her job for him/her.

Can you explain what you mean here? How was the wolf trying to frame CB when it was you that suggested him? I'm not sure I understand where you're coming from...

Yes! Well Done the Guardian. I think it is quite rare that they protect a kill so early, so at last some good news for us.

  10. Grrwood

    Good stuff Guardian!

Shame to lose Mike but a bit inevitable, a good player with some decent insight. Also pretty much confirms the suspicions that our messages are from the seer.

Wonder if the wolf will post at all? I suspect that it may not be until their name is starting to do the rounds as a suspect...

    Morning all!

Have we ever had a round where the wolf just hasn't bothered to post? I imagine it's the tactic of quite an experienced player.

Unfortunately there's still very little to go on. If we believe the messages are all from the seer that clears myself and Jellyman...

Really pretty much anyone else is still a suspect in my eyes

Could the reindeer try to throw us by posting today? There doesn't seem to be any consistent style of message from the seer.

There really doesn't seem to be any consistency, all three have been different.

I think we can assume the first two messages were from the seer. I think the jury is out on today's message. Have to see if we get a second. The style today doesn't seem consistent with the other two but then again the first and second seemed different as well.

Morning all. Bad news that we lost Mike but well done Guardian. I guess Mike's reveal as "good" proves the messages so far have been from the Seer but that was pretty obvious anyway, so no real revelations from the Weerdeers' choices. I guess, if we only get one message again, we presume it's the Seer's?

I think he means that, if the wolf had killed Harrow, we would then have seen that Harrow had suspected CB and think he was the wolf.

Ask Hornmeister to merge threads, I think there is a way.

Do we get to know which Weredeer did what last night? Would be useful to know which one was thwarted by the Guardian and which one killed MikeD as it could help identify them.

e.g. Darave followed by MikeD for the beta deer might suggest an inexperienced player - took a random on the first night, followed by an obvious choice the second.

Sorry of course should have added depending on whether we receive a message today.

What's the url of the other thread? I think I can do it.

Until we get a day when we get two posts all we can prove is that we have a very stubborn reindeer. As Grrwood says until suspicions falls on him (or her) then I expect no message as of yet.

From the way Meh! has done the two write ups I think we can assume that the alpha gets the first kill as that one is written up first. But maybe reading too much into that. Meh! didn't make it entirely clear and I don't think that there are hard and fast rules on having to do so. It may well be one of those times where the message from the mod contains subtle clues.

Also he calls Mike's weredeer the "second deer" so presume that points at beta. I think we have an inexperienced beta on the balance of probabilities.

Also wondering if the football injury thing for the first/alpha is a clue? Maybe

In future rounds I think both the Seer and the Wolf, if alive, must provide a message - it's quite boring otherwise, I get wanting to win and all that but at least make it enjoyable for all and spark a debate.

That seems to have done it deer dear. :)

I'm a bit hesitant to take anything written by Meh as a clue. I remember a previous game left us all chasing what we thought was a hint about something a wolf had left behind that turned out to be nothing but narrative.

Good and bad last night then. Hard for Mike when he was established as good but already protected. Well done the guardian though.

Like people have said, seems pretty clear that both messages are from the seer and I would imagine today's is too.
Is the wolf's game maybe that they're not sending a message so that they pick off good players slowly but surely? Perhaps we can use that to our advantage too and narrow down the options for a lynching? Could be a guessing game after discounting a couple of folk though.

  33. Harrow Orn

So, I voted for CB and was trying to get him lynched. Then the wolf tries to kill me overnight.

If you put two and two together, you'd think CB wanted rid of me, right?

A lot of wolves in the past have done such a tactic to try and make it look like CB was the wolf.

  34. Steve Leo Beleck

Perhaps Meh! can clarify if it was an oversight or intentional to write it that way?

I have a working theory that there is an experienced Alpha backed up by an inexperienced Beta but that could go out the window if last night's actions were the other way round...

Steve Leo Beleck talked about a clue left yesterday, was that a bluff to out the reindeer? It certainly endangered the seer too. If I'm right it points to a few suspects, what's Beleck's take on it? I think it's time to get the clue out in the open.
