With no Premier League or Championship fixtures due to the international break, the Stones are expecting a big crowd for their National League local derby v Barnet on Saturday 25th March at The Vale.

The Stones are sitting just outside of the play off places after what has been a remarkable season for Stuart Maynard's part time side. Barnet are in the play off places. The game is being broadcast LIVE by BT Sport. It's a game with a lot of history between the two clubs and sure to generate a fantastic atmosphere.

Watford season ticket holders can purchase Concession tickets for just £12 (please bring your season ticket to show at the gates alongside your match ticket). We encourage everyone to buy their tickets in advance:

Barnet in 5th playing the Stones in 8th. At the same time the 'Wood (6th) are facing Eastleigh (7th) at Broughinge Road Meadow Park.

Showing the warmth and hospitality that B'wood is renowned for there: are no discounts for anyone whatsoever.

I just loved going to Boreham wood to play the Bull and Tiger. I remember going past their left back and getting taken out by someone watching. Super, super friendly bunch :D

Christ the Bull... I'm quite proud to say I only stepped foot inside that place once and that was shortly before it was flattened.

A colleague of mine got assaulted by one of the Borehamwood thugs when his team Kingstonian played and lost to the Wood in the 2010 Ryman Premier League play-off final. It’s a nice ground with its surrounding poplars, but a lot of the residents seem to have issues.

Glad it got flattened tbh. Got invited back after the match but we were far too cowardly to accept. In fairness they had a half decent team then. I've never witnessed so many threats or punches to the back of the head as I did against them.

It was rumoured that to get the 'feel' of the Mos Eisley Cantina the film crew at the time invited all the actors in the scene for an evening in the Bull's, and the Red Lion's public bars (both shitholes popular with the studios crew)... The other, exceptionally aptly-named 'Brasserie' was the Suffolk Punch.

The old Woodcock could get quite tense at times.

I miss those old pubs to be fair. I’d much rather go somewhere with people gobbing on the floor than a poncy gastro ‘pub’ with people eating food off of a slab of wood and no plate. What happens to the gravy I ask?

Green Dragon has an interesting atmosphere if you’re not know the local patrons as well.

A record at Grosvenor Vale but not a club record. I think they had about 13,ooo at Lower Mead once, perhaps for an FA Cup or FA Amateur Cup tie in the 1950s.

Despite today's result this is a remarkable season for them. I think I'm right in saying they are the highest-placed part-time club in the English league system? I believe Eastleigh went full-time a few years ago. Boreham Wood are full-time and I think Bromley are too.

Considering what happened to them after their chairman sold their old ground and didn't line up a replacement; the cost of Uncle Jack Petchey's generosity when they groundshared at Vicarage Road, and then the circumstances that saw them play at Yeading, Edgware and Northwood, dropping down to the old Ryman League Division 3, and then taking 20 years to work their way back up to the Conference (National League) it's a hell of a story.

The original non-league double winners – had they achieved that two years later they'd have been a Football League club.

Have had a soft spot for them since they shared at Vicarage Road, playing in front of 200 people some weeks and losing most of the time so to see them back in the top tier of non-league football is great. I feared that they'd struggle playing behind closed doors when they first got back up but they are establishing themselves at this level.

They were also magnificent when our friend – a Watford fan who fell out of love with the pro game and started watching Wealdstone – died. A proper club, albeit one with a bit of an edge, run by really decent people.

I couldn't work out if the bloke who threw an orange flare from the home end was very very brave or had issues. Great atmosphere, really enjoyed the afternoon, so much better than the Vicarage Road experience.

Possibly a bit of both?! You're spot on re the comparison with an afternoon at Vicarage road. It's great isn't it
