In my minds eye you are the Alpha Cog, sitting astride a horse like a Braveheart character as I hide beneath my duvet, nervously refreshing my phone as I hope not to see the dreaded “TuT quoted your posted”.

 

I won't believe it until it's featured in @wfcmoog 's pod.

 

Because he gets so grumpy with “bedwetters” it jumped to mind. It’s an example, but there are plenty of others. Kelso calls anti Pozzo supporters every name under the sun!

 

*In my mind Cogs can’t possibly be Alphas, because everything they do is commensurate with being a Beta male.

*This is a joke observation by the way, please nobody wet their knickers over it.

 

Some people would be better off not listening to it. They’d be deeply offended it seems.

 

Actually I quite like the sound of that, a sort of heroic figure But I do occasionally criticise the Board/Owner so could I be "a COG" ? I'm quite pessimistic so does that make me a bedwetter too ? Can you be both ? It's all a bit confusing and daft really, no-one really knows what it means...
We occasionally fall out but I do read and respect your views.
A19's posts are much more extreme but I do find it funny that his avatar appears to be a cog . Always a good healthy debate.

 

Yep. I've got multiple users on ignore, simply because I would get alerts to completely unprompted abusive posts either naming me or responding to my own opinions. I could respond to them, but I've tried not to get into arguments with such people because they're a waste of time.

@Knight GT and @The undeniable truth I have often called you Cogs, but I hoped you'd realised I was doing so light heartedly and fondly, as despite disagreeing with a lot of your outlooks, you're both good posters and @Knight GT you look well fit in your pfp. Most of the time I've just latched onto slight negativity in your posts to suggest we've flipped you over to the BWO, as a joke and your posts seemed to suggest you were in on it - apologies if not - I have nothing against you, except your wrong headed support of our dastardly owner.

 

Do we fall out? I enjoy your posts despite being opposite ends of the supporter spectrum. Any insults are taken in a jokey manner and we don’t really get het up by words on a screen (like some really really do).

Seems this debate has been started by a couple of posters who never particularly contribute, have poked their head round the door David Brent style to get involved and decry name calling despite calling a club legend ‘not the sharpest knife in the drawer’ for caring about his kids.

Let us return to the important issues of the day and that being our truly laughable club ownership.

It’s because I was Cog up until the relegation season, I became a BW, then I thought with the Ivic appointment I’d give them the benefit of the doubt again, due to them taking their time over the appointment and the whole ‘lessons learnt’ rubbish. It quickly became clear that was utter nonsense, so I very quickly flipped back to team BW, I’ve just never changed my avatar back.

 

I don't think we've fallen out - Jumbo and I have had our moments though . Perhaps "strongly disagreed" is better terminology.

I genuinely don't know what you (or anyone !) means by bedwetter though. Is it just "anti Pozzo/Duxbury" ie opposite of COG ? If it's just that, why would you happily refer to yourself as a "bedwetter" surely there's a less embarrassing term ? Bedwetter sounds like someone worrying more than they should. Well that's certainly me, as @Keighley constantly reminds me ! But apparently one can't be both COG and BW ? That's why I think the whole terminology is a bit rubbish really....

 

But I’m a 40 year old man, I don’t actually wet the bed so I don’t care. Bedwetter is just a term for anyone perceived as overly negative about how the club is run, and all that encompasses. It’s used across pretty much every football fan base across the land, it really doesn’t bother me in the slightest. It’s part of football parlance and if anything it makes life far easier having such terms, especially with a thread with this particular title.

 

I wonder if Duxbury went ,would the problems ease?

For me it was simply an insult hurled at me for months/years by certain people on here. Not happy with a loss - bedwetter. Critical of a manager - bedwetter. Not fully bought into the club's spin - bedwetter.

Rather than respond to the constant baiting of certain unpleasant elements, I simply ignore them and put a bed being wet as my profile pic.

 

Most of the BWO are stocky and barrel chested brutes. 5'10 to 5'11 but oaken chested like a mediaeval tavern wrestler.

 

I genuinely think hes just a puppet as with Giaraldi and now Giaretta.

Lots of flak was given to Giraldi (including by me) at the time for our recruitment woes, but absolutely nothing changed with his departure.
