If Fab is too be believed Brugge just signed another striker yesterday as well. He only has 2 years left on his contract, so Brugge could be looking to sell him, but I doubt he will only go for £5-6mil. Think they will want £14mil+ for him. Which puts him well out of our price range. Can see someone desperate like Bournemouth/Everton splashing £20mil on him.
Ekrem Konor, the not especially reliable journalist has said the price tag is £8m or so. But I could see Brugge keeping him, especially if they have to restructure their when one of Lang or De Katalaere (sic) leave.
If we're not even in the mix for Kane Wilson then I give up. Albeit in L2, he's registered more assists this season than any Pozzo era player. Fully expect us to sit on our hands and wait until Kiko decides he wants to go back to Spain, miss out on Wilson and sign the right-back equivalent of Achraf Lazaar.
Teamtalk are linking us with Derby captain Tom Lawrence. Among other clubs. I think that would be a smart piece of business
If we’re after good championship wingers, aged 28 and available on a free, Jed Wallace is the superior choice.
Anyone got a stat bomb for Kastriot Imeri? He has been linked with Fiorentina for £4M. Abdelkahar Kadri Value is under £2M and had a good season.
He will probably have bigger clubs than us in for him but Mattia Caldara who was on loan at Venezia from AC Milan could be a good piece of business. Venezia had a loan with option to buy, highly doubt now they are relegated they will exercise that option. With one year left on his deal at Milan, we could do a lot worse than approach him. Solid CB, good age, Milan bought him for something stupid like £30-40mil a few years ago. Obviously he hasn’t lived up to that fee, but he is more than good enough for us. Venezia aren’t exactly loaded, so can’t imagine their option to buy was that high. edit: quick look at google and shows the option to buy was never stated outside of a “few million.” His wage is also stated in a few articles, converting it from euros to pounds, it’s £35/36k p/w.
I think people need to accept the reality of the situation. We're not going to be spending a lot of money on anyone. I think we *might* have a little bit of money to spend depending on how sales go and will probably have a little bit more flexibility than last time when we had the Deeney/Gray millstones swallowing up a lot of wages. I very much doubt we'll sign any player for £5m+ and if we did I'd expect them to be someone that's proven in this country rather than a punt from abroad.
No doubt you're right. But in all reality we could be having to look for a whole new attacking setup. Four are already being mentioned about moves and King has a release clause. They will have to be spending more that 5m+ if they honestly want to challenge next season. But I ain't going to stress. I will if Gayle and Fletch are leading the line though.
Video footage of our new striker has been leaked on Twitter. Excellent ball carrier, phenomenal ball control, with a finesse finish. No chance were signing him. https://mobile.twitter.com/aTeXan575/status/1530356537285259264
John Swift’s gone to WBA. As a few have said, would’ve been a very good signing on a free. When are we going to start making some announcements? I guess we need to move players on first. By the time we’ve done that we’ll be scrambling round playing catch up and will sign whatever tat Mogi pushes on us.
We have to wait until Mogi is back from his well earned holiday. Then we just need him to send some players here and decide what commission he wants.
Best midfielder in the Championship last season. Considering he went to a Championship club and not to a Premier League club, it's a shame we didn't sign him.
Well if he wants a new challenge.. https://mobile.twitter.com/Fabrizio...io/iframe/twitter.min.html1530891902547070983
Obviously can't speak to that definitively, but they don't appear to have ever spent time together at a club, and they each made their few England u-16 appearances in different years (according to Wikipedia).
Since we’re relying on our good friend Mogi to sign every player for us, I decided to look at the Belgium league, go through every team, pick out their best player(s), and try to think like Mogi. I have no idea whether or not any of these players are under him, but that doesn’t seem to matter anyway, at least not to him. So here’s my list of players that will find themselves being told they are signing for Arsenal, only to be chloroformed, shoved in the boot of a blacked out Mercedes, driven to Watford (next to Arsenal’s training ground, so the player was close to his dream), sign a contract joining Watford unconscious, sunglasses put on for the official photo so no-one knows the players is still unconscious and then given their £100k signing on bonus, while super agent Mogi walks away with £5mil.
