I do laugh when we are linked to certain players. The club only throws its name in the ring in order to stay relevant. They are not going to sign for Watford. They are not going to be loaned out to Watford. We are not going to sign anyone decent in this transfer window. As it has been pointed out already, we are losing out to Championship sides and possibly lower division sides. We are toxic. Apart from the money, why would you sign for us? Football is full of mercenaries, but even they are avoiding us.
Phillips to Bournemouth is just the cherry on the top for our shambles of a club. Anyone want to offer up some of the usual excuses? Fan base? Bournemouth are a bigger name?
We don’t have a good track record with defenders, defending and developing players so this was the right decision for all involved.
Add Tufan I like Femenia, but he not a full back. He will not stay once we are relegated. Ngakia is sh*t scared when the ball goes near him. He might be OK in the Championship, but doubtful. Cathcart is in our starting 11 in the Premier league shows how poor we have been in the transfer market. He is League One quality at best. I said Bachmann would never make it in the Premier league due to the lack of commanding his area. How true this has been. Oh well, the Championship it is..
We are toxic. What club would loan a player to us? All we can do is sign on!! Bournemouth will sign Rothwell and the guy from Peterborough as well. Parker is difficult to work with, so the bottom may fall out for him there at some point.
Hopefully they've signed too many at once and Parker fails to keep everyone happy or organise the team #clutchingatstraws
Everton up to their old tricks, reportedly in for Deli Ali but it needs to be a permanent deal and the minimum Spurs will apparently take is £30m, lol.
Beat me to it, was just going to say exactly that. To me it’s Everton being Everton, yet again paying top whack for a player from a team they would aspire to compete with, who don’t consider them anywhere near good enough.
Alli has done far more in the PL than Iwobi ever did though. I think anyone is mad to spend big money on Alli given the doubts about his desire and commitment. But he certainly worth a loan or small fee. There’s risk but it’s one worth taking. But I wouldn’t be throwing £30m at it until he’s proved he is committed.
I was replying to a post that said £30m. If that is incorrect and the fee is £10m I wouldn't have replied as that's far more reasonable. Is that ok?
Obligation of £10m after playing 20 games - upfront fee of £0 if he can't regain any for he'll be out the door in the summer and will only have set Everton back his wages
https://www.teamtalk.com/watford/an...-late-move-for-20m-rated-bristol-city-striker Antoine Semenyo at Bristol City. I highly doubt we’ll stump up the required amount and obviously wouldn’t be what I’d prioritise but he’s a good player and we’ve looked at him previously.
I know we are **** but I can't see Burnley and Norwich finishing above us. Sent from my TECNO P701 using Tapatalk
If he moves (he won’t) I reckon he’d come here. But reckon he stays at Bristol City until the summer.
I reckon, plus if he goes to a prem club like us we want an option to buy. He'll also get more game time at Bmth.
