I've started a thread here so only regular werewolf people would be interested.

I only started watching this over the weekend and I have caught up to the end of the latest episode (Ep 7).

Overall it's quite good, and interesting to see other people playing a 'live' game. I have no idea whether it's scripted or not but I'm not over bothered, the concerning thing is the amount of tears! I guess it's slightly different for them as they are living together and a large sum of money on offer compared to our games which is a bit of fun.

I don't know... I can certainly think of one or two players that have thrown their toys massively out of their pram when things haven't gone their way.

Been an enjoyable watch, but yes, emotions do run a bit too high at times!

Yes I'm hooked. The crying is pathetic but laughable. To me it's like the first time anyone played Werewolf on here, which is vastly different from how you play when you've done 3 or 4 of them.

I don't think it's scripted much, but they do appear to fix the voting pattern so that the person voting last seems to gets the decider if it's close.
I also think they've deliberately filled the mansion with thick bas*ards as that makes much more entertaining TV in such a scenario. Which then explains the hysterics.

Yes, it's my crack cocaine TV viewing and I'm unashamedly enjoying it.

Agree with the voting being fixed as far as how they show the order of the votes, it’s been too close too often. What made me think it might be fixed is nobody picking up on Alissia switching her vote from Alex to Wilf, Maddie used the same theory for why Aaron was so upset, but instead Wilf was a hero and not a suspect.

But yeah, maybe they’re just thick.

At the end of episode 6,
they asked the traitors to kill or recruit, I think they wisely chose to recruit and thought about each of the people. They obviously got it wrong with Alex but I think they should have done one of two things, (1) choose Kieran as he'd only been in the castle for a couple of days and hadn't got close to anyone, or (2) choose Maddy for the banter effect.

    Maddy is bloody annoying.

  9. I've not watched it yet but someone called "Wilf" is clearly evil!

Interesting. I thought a new forum game was starting up, but I have to admit I will give this a watch as it sounds interesting. Is it BBC iPlayer?

Yes, it's on iPlayer. There have been 7 episodes so far, I've binged on it since Sunday. It's Werewolf but on TV!

There are some differences to our games though, mainly the traitors (werewolf equivalent) know each other from the outset and they decide between themselves to make one kill, when given the opportunity they can recruit someone, that person can choose whether or not to accept the invitation.

They also play games to build up a prize pot, this is an interesting aspect of the game because the games so far have been quite physical because it's then in the traitors' interest to keep some of the younger fitter people in the game. Also since day 4 someone has had the opportunity to win a shield, which protects them from a night kill (I think for only one night)

There is no seer, if there was one, I reckon it would create an extra layer of intrigue.

They have voting, but before that they have a discussion around the round table which can get quite heated.

When arriving for breakfast they then find out who's been taken out.

Agreed, she is never going to win the game so she should have taken the money and run

Yeah, presumably she’s out next or soon anyway. Her making a big deal out of being an ‘actor’ was so nauseating. You’re a ******* receptionist not an actor!

I hope there is a secret couple too, not a fan of the tears but seeing Matt in tears had me howling (with laughter).

Really enjoying it but boy, some of the younger generation seem to get offended and cry at absolutely everything. Strongest person on it is 70 odd years old…good for her

I do get the feeling they've brought in the more sensitive type of person for the drama.
I'm applying next season and I'll cry like a baby in any interviews!

Glad to see I’m not the only one for whom this is my favourite guilty pleasure on TV at the moment. And yes, I sit bemoaning how thick and “sheep-like” the contestants are when they’re sitting at that round table, even though I know from playing Werewolf enough times just how easy it is to get big calls very wrong, have no faith in your own judgement and to end up following the herd.
Think that, of the three, the following traitor is playing a great game so far…
    Amanda

Was out last night so no spoilers please.

As the numbers get lower the tension is definitely building for the traitors, and last night a big mistake was made:

Amanda voting out her 100% trustworthy pick has put her firmly on the radar of the faithfuls They were talking about nothing else afterwards. I think she's getting maximum heat neat episode.

I think she covered it relatively well, her story for why she voted for him makes sense, but yeah they may well suspect her. She didn’t really need to vote for him either as so many others did

Ooh that’s hard. Both my teens want the traitors to win. I’m not sure at the moment where I land because I find myself willing the faithfuls to successfully catch a traitor, but I think the traitors have played the game well and there are certain faithfuls I wouldn’t want to win (eg Maddie with her dogged repetition of her nonsense “evidence” against Aaron).

Indeed, what was so frustrating about that was that he was getting wound up about Aaron asking him loads of questions and he thought he was being clever by suggesting that made Aaron seem like a traitor, but that makes no sense at all. Surely only a faithful would be asking questions like that to try and weed a traitor out. Unfortunately Aaron isn’t bright enough to have thought of that so he could defend himself.

Will is playing an absolute blinder - he’s an absolute snake, but he’s playing the game very well. If Kieran joins up with him the Traitors win for sure IMO.

Kieran would be mad not to surely, it’s either that or go home with nothing. It’s not like he actively choose it either so he can’t go wrong, everyone else would do exactly the same.
