Yes that is true but not sure anyone will want him at the club next season !?

If we massively scale back financially and in terms of expectations he might survive...or indeed if nobody wants to buy him enough (I suspect he'll garner some interest from some teams from mediocre leagues like Belgium, but not enough to earn us a significant sum)

Our place in the Championship in long term.
Rebuilding on lemonade income/investment could lead at times to difficulties in keeping our place in the Championship.
The Premier League is way out of reach with the squad we have and a clear out is desired in the summer, again.
We will come good again, but not for a good few years.

*This one is for Burnsy. I say 10+ years in the Wilderness.

Don't disagree with a lot of what you say; but it's uninterested, not disinterested - they do mean different things. I am beginning to look forward to the day when we sell him, then he really will be disinterested.

Just can’t see it. We have real football people in charge and with Manga and the new crack scouting team, it’s only a matter of time before we’re challenging again.

I can see your points, but will Gino allow them an unhindered hand and give them time?

    On reflection...

I suppose it serves me right for looking forward to the game so much (but it was my first for about 8 years, I reckon), but I've felt very deflated today.

Choudhury and Morris were great; no-one else stood out for me.

Maybe the world's moved on since I last went, but I found it very strange at half-time to see so many pissed-up middle-aged blokes and coked-up pre-pubes.

Who the fcuk was the middle-aged bloke stood with the pre-pubes who took an age to take off his blue trainers and an even longer age to get them back on again? Why, and WTAF???

The shallowness of the seating meant you had a sense of disconnect with the rest of the fans, especially as I was in F block. It would have been nice to have been able to look around and see if anyone was there that I knew.

How the fcuk did we not score that last minute goalmouth scramble???

Agree with this . 10 mins before kick off "rent-a-mob" were making an unholy din in the concourse but we were generally quiet during the match as for the last kick scramble from where I was the ball just did not bounce kindly for us whereas at Burnley we saw the exact opposite
4 points from 9 could easily have been 7 from 9 with the rub of the green

A totally unfair comparison, but look at Harry Kane today and how he took his goal. Now look at the Davis chance yesterday, he was completely unprepared/unaware and treated the ball like it was a grenade, hopeless.
    He couldn't head a queue.

Cliff Holton would have put the ball & the keeper in back of the net and still have time to read the paper.

In fairness the sheer number of injuries we've had all at once has been a factor, certainly in regards to building a coherent team out of the players we have here. There arnt many teams around who wouldnt have struggled having 16 or 17 first choice players out all at the same time. We had a full back playing in midfield and were starting youth players.

Thats not to say I disagree with you, I just think injuries are a mitigating factor to some extent and I'm not sure I would go so far as to say Bilic has been terrible... however has he done enough of a job under the circumstances to have warranted Edwards being sacked. Probably not.

Away ends now are proper coke fests followed by the rentagobs trying to outdo each other by screaming the most extreme things they can think of.

Between those lads and the groups of vloggers I’m not sure who is the most thirsty for attention.

Choudhury was superb. Covered just about every blade of grass & put in a real shift.

Yep. He'll be a great signing for whichever upwardly mobile Championship club is prepared to stump up the £6m next season whilst we have to make do with a small child from Benfica B.

We might need Hamza after all when we’re in the championship next season.

If we did decide to use our supposed £6m option on him, do you think your fans would be that bothered by it? Or is that price about right, in their view?

Hilarious that the same people who negotiated a buy option for Choudhury for £6m are the same people who negotiated the £15m option on Keinan Davis.

I’m not sure really, he never looked good enough at Prem level so I can’t see him going to a Championship club for more than that. It’s not like West Ham or Everton will suddenly start bidding on him and drive the price up.

Thing is, we’ve got Mendy and Tielemans walking for free in the summer. Soumare is awful and doesn’t seem to have settled in England and we’ll have to cash in on Maddison before his contract runs out in 2024. Also rumours that Ndidi is ready for a change. The club may well just end up keeping Hamza for the sake of having an extra body in midfield.

Leicester are chronically bad at shifting players that they don’t want so the poor bugger will probably end up back here for another year twiddling his thumbs until he can leave for free.

I was on a Stag do in Vienna this weekend, so I couldn't watch the game.

In the end, our scheduled beer bike broke down where it was based in Bratislava and the company offered to pay for our transport there and back to do it, but we couldn't face the 2 hour+ cross-border round trip half-cut, so we went to the Austria Wien game instead. They won 3-0, the stadium was comfortable and very easy to access, and we could drink pints in our seats. Huzzah.

From what I hear my only regret is missing out on another swashbuckling display of Bilicball. Oh well.

Gino Pozzo has no intention of sticking around in The Championship for 10 years, he’ll have sold if what you say is to be true.

    You could be right.
I wouldn't be surprised if Gino isn't already thinking of selling up.
He will take the last parachute payment, then let's see if still he still wants to run a mid table Championship club.
We may come good again, but not for a few years.

Maybe, but it would be pretty much the most stupid time to sell in the last 10 years from a valuation point of view.
