    Tosh. Utter tosh!!!

There’s a National Park in the city
Around a third of the city is actually inside the Peak District National Park – no other city in the UK has part of a National Park inside its boundaries.

    Non tosh

It hosts the world’s oldest football club
Sheffield is home to the oldest football club in the world that plays association football. Sheffield FC was founded in 1857 by members of a cricket club based in Sheffield.

The team adopted the official FA rules in 1878 and they now play in the Northern Premier League.

Sheffield also has the world’s oldest football ground
As well as Sheffield FC, the city is also home to Sheffield Hallam FC which is the second oldest football club in the world, having been founded just three years after Sheffield FC.

    Trees and parks gosh

The city has four trees for every person
Sheffield is home to more than two million trees – that’s the highest ratio of trees to people for any city in Europe.

The city also has around 250 parks, woodland areas and gardens, including Crookes Park, Norfolk Heritage Park and the Botanical Gardens.

    Steel City Gold bosh

I spent 23% of my life in Watford. I've spent 68% of my life in Sheffield. I am fiercely proud of my adopted city. But cutting to the chase, although only 'armchair', both of my daughters are Golden Girls.

    Football mosh

In July last year, the Official cite/sight/site listed players who played for both clubs:

    Tony Currie
    Keith Eddy
    Darius Henderson
    Robert Page

And Ken Furphy, who managed at both clubs.

    They didn't tell you about:

    Stewart Scullion
    Colin Franks
    Tony Agana
    Steve Kabba
    Martin Kuhl

    And the legend that was:

    Peter Hetherston

    Prediction josh

    A 3-1 Watford win.

I'll be there, and I'm very excited!!!

    UOoooooooooooons!!!

Heading to this one, any good pubs near the ground?

I get annoyed when people call Sheffield United just Sheffield, I can only imagine how annoying Blades fans find it!

Brothers Arms 106 Well Rd, Heeley, Sheffield S8 9TZ - 15/20 minute walk to the ground.
Sheaf View 25 Gleadless Rd, Lowfield, Sheffield S2 3AA - similar.
White Lion 615 London Rd, Heeley, Sheffield S2 4HT - similar.

All real ale pubs. All locals I use regularly. The first two will be full of home fans, but as long as one shows respek, innit?

A fair few interesting bars on Abbeydale Road. Put 'Bars of Abbeydale' in Facebook.

Avoid London Road boozers, and all the pubs near the ground itself are 'Home fans only'.

Nice preview but your map has infuriated me. I spent a week on holiday in Darley Dale and was PROMISED it was part of the Peak District, but your map shows it to be outside. Considering requesting a refund but it was 2015.

    Think we'll struggle: 1-0.

Keith Eddy is on my list.

Terry Garbett went from us to Blackburn Rovers, then Rovers to the Blades.

All on my list went from us to the Blades, except Kuhl, who went the other way...

Lived in Sheffield for a few years. Geting into Sheffield early and will be heading to Hunters Bar for a pub crawl down Ecclesall Road. Plenty of pubs, bars and beer/ale shops to choose from.

Great preview. One question. Who did Sheffield play against when they started or were there other teams who have since gone out of business?
    2-1 Watford, Sarr and Pedro

Now that we have reached the magical 50 points, the players can fully relax. Maybe time to experiment with youth and play some tunes with the formation

As much as I would love us to continue Sheff Utd's blip in form right now, I cannot see it. We are still making silly mistakes in games and throwing silly goals, and we would have to play a defensive master class to keep them out. Sure, they are not playing well but they are still a very good side this season. We know how Watford end a side's poor run, so it could be a very bad afternoon in that respect. Results last night were semi kind to us, Rotherham did us a big favor beating Sunderland and at least Millwall didn't win. We are one of a clump of sides who sit on 50pts, and it is not beyond us to grab a point. If we can get something out of this game, we then have a "easier" run in to the end of the season - and if we are serious about a playoff place, we would probably need to win at least 7 of our final 13 games. That would give us 71pts plus whatever else we gained in the other matches. Might be enough considering how tight the top half is right now.

I think we can nick a point and a welcome clean sheet.

Loved Henderson when he was here. Good player and scored a few goals.
Robert Page was a good captain and a solid defender. Cannot take away his love for the club.
Steve Kabba was beyond levels of bad, thankfully wasn't here very long.
Danny Webber, one of the few ex-players I managed to actually speak to once. He was one of those loanes from Man Utd when we seemed to be a club to develop their youngsters (RIP Davies). Solid, scored a few and quite liked. I remember when he scored one goal at the Vic he went straight to the disabled section of the fans and celebrated with them - heart warming to see that.
