Steve Bruce has a point to prove, is there a Greggs near The Vic or training complex?

If it’s Hodgson I will have to clear my diary for tomorrow to immerse myself in what the media have to say, it’s going to be hilarious.

Quite what Palace fan Simon Jordan will have to say about it I can only guess.

People need to understand Gino is like an abusive partner, it doesn’t matter how many times you throw them out, they are never going to change!

Of the British ****** old manager cadre he’s probably the best of the lot. Not that that’s saying much.

We really are a joke club now, just lurching from one kneejerk mistake to another

Gino has properly thrown us off the sent with this one, we were all trying to think of the most opposite and reactionary appointment to Ranieri, turns out he was too young, not too old.

Corberan and Warburton are near the top of the Championship at the moment, are we that much of a step up right now? Martin is at the beginning of a project at a fairly big club by Championship standards (though one firmly in a rebuild), again I don't think he'd come here as I'm not sure the risk outweighs the reward, Critchley sounds like he'd be the one for me, but I'm not going to get my way an I?

Swansea are actually pretty small by Championship standards, until they got promoted to the Championship in 2008 they were very much predominantly a lower league club and even the Liberty Stadium's capacity is only 21k (its predecessor the Vetch Field held 11k). They could be an upwardly mobile club like Brighton, who have a similar history (both clubs had a brief stint in the top flight in the 80s before nearly falling out of the league around the start of the millennium), and us from the late 1970s (I mean, compared to what they were before the stadium move as they're in a bit of a slump), but I'd be surprised if they ever hit the heights of their seven-year spell in the top flight again. I think they'll be more like Reading and us pre-Pozzos - a permanent fixture in the upper divisions but with only the odd season in the top division. Wigan will probably be like that, and thanks to their recent takeover.

Also absolutely no point bringing in exciting young managers who want to play a particular brand of football, when you know the ******ous **** at the top will bring in wholly unsuitable players for them

17m on Andre Gray when Silva wanted a target man.

30m on Sarr when Gracia didn't use wingers.

Dawson at centre back when we needed someone who could pass out of the back.

Ranieri was recruited for his style at Samp where he relied on high energy pressing. Our team consisted of Danny Rose, Tufat and Kucka.

The only suitable managers in this **** show are those are willing to bend over and play whatever formation Gino has forced on him with his horrific squad building and who is so unqualified for the job or unwanted elsewhere that they are not going to speak out about the shambles behind the scenes to the press.

Hodgson was previously sacked by the Pozzos for pointing out what a ******* shambles they were. This is genuinely hilarious.

Its actually more embarrassing than going back to Quique or asking Javi to come back a few months after sacking him.

Pozzo genuinely has no shame and no self awareness.

    Roy's comments about the Pozzos:

    "extremely strange club"

he and the players were "not as well supported as we should be".

"Obviously I'm very happy to be back at this level of football but I could have chosen a better club to come back to."

Gino really is a dictator. A megalomaniacal despot. He cannot fathom any path other than his own being the correct one, no matter how ridiculous.

While that is very true, we'd need to start appointing a manager with a defined style from somewhere and then start stamping their identity on the team from there. Moot point of course if we're going for Hodgson as expected!

So this season we’ve had a manger who has won the Premier League and a manager who has managed England, yet still people moan.

So we’ve had Pearson, now Hodgson. Gino so clearly wants to appoint BFS he’s just too tight to pay for him.

Didn't know about that, when exactly did they ask Javi to come back? Certainly wouldn't have been opposed...

The only way, ONLY WAY, this is in any way understandable is if someone like Diego Martinez has said he would take the job in the summer and we need someone until then.

But you just know there's a chance Hodgson will be here next season. Or that younger name we want in the summer goes elsewhere before then.

Hodgson makes sense as all of our recent short term fixes have proved to be a success, such as: Ranieri, Nkoulou, Sanchez, Lazaar, Gosling, Pearson and QSF II.

Betting market firming further: Skybet go 1-8 Roy and 12-1 the field. Looking done and dusted.

And again, I highly doubt that's the case, because a) Martinez surely wouldn't want to manage in the Championship, and b) there's every chance a more appealing job appears in the meantime

Poor Roy can’t even retire in peace.
These maniacs were found out by a younger Roy and called on it. Now they want to give him his last go in the hot seat so they can treat him like proper **** once he fails miserably, can’t have him enjoy his time in the sunshine leaving the football world on a good note after belittling the greasy *** family all those years ago.
Don’t do it to yourself Roy, come out tomorrow and laugh in Gino and Scotts faces
