It was only a matter of time before it turned out that the 2 central defenders we bought in January are crap !
The most annoying thing about that clip is half way through you hear the dulcet tone of Bachmann yelling away. Why does he shout that every time? What else do you think we will try and do
It's amazing how many of those stupid phrases/cliches are still in the professional game. I remember in the Slav season I was right behind the dugouts against Rotherham and was excited to potentially pick up some insights. Instead Steve Evans shouted every Sunday League cliche under the sun (FIRSTS - whenever there was an aerial duel for example).
He's shouting that at the ball not player. It's his primary strategy for getting the ball away from his goalline.
If 6 goals for the kids all season mean Blake/Adeyemo are better than Sarr/Davis, that must mean this Martins fella is good enough for Man City, surely?
He’ll potentially get some football then.. https://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/s...-look-set-lose-brazilian-forward-three-games/
Sounds like he's coming back on loan for another season: http://sportwitness.co.uk/watford-new-deal-forward-underway-little-help-pozzo-family/ Which obviously tallies with him being spotted in pre-season training n'all.
Actually willing to give Martins the benefit of the doubt, I think he could good. We were a mess last season and it's a hard league to adapt to, especially in a dreadful side and 2 coaches in 3 months. High output player with amazing stamina, will suit Ismael big time.
Almost certainly. Ismael will be under pressure if he doesn't play an expensive Pozzo Player Trading FC player. Same for Koné. Was pretty underwhelmed with both last season but as pointed out above, young players moving to a complete shitshow of a club in a different continent so let's hope that first six months was them acclimatising and we'll see more from them this season.
I think it will be interesting to see how he develops this coming season and how Ismael might improve him. No reason for thinking everything must naturally stand still over the coming months.
I liked him. If we were going to get any loan player back, he's the one I'd want. Bit of graft and was unlucky with the woodwork.
Disappointing opening 6 months overall, but there is a player in there that I think can come good this season. I don't think there was a lack of trying, but I think he was physically dominated and struggled to get used to this league which would have been hard to acclimatise to from the outset. Hopefully a pre-season and the lack of shock factor adjusting to a new league will help him show what he's about. Gives us a valid option for attacking players which is good. Came in rated almost as highly as Pedro and Richarlison both were from Fluminense so he's got to have something about him.
I think he came across as a hard working player but with a jack of quality , which I imagine could have been him adjusting as he must have some quaint about him as a Brazilian u21. So I think he may do well under Ismael as he will have he work ethic
I really don't know what people expect? He came here last season very highly rated off the back of a full season in Brazil. Tried to make things happen when he played but it didn't work for him, I am sure how crap we were didn't help. I don't see why anyone would have an issue with giving him another go.
