First half at West Ham as well, which I thought was actually better than the second half at Villa.

  2. Amazingly enough not the biggest robbery of the day after the corrupt judges scoring in the boxing tonight.

Problem with that half is we didn’t even attempt to go forward bar the one cross for Kucka — defended well though

I haven’t posted on here for a long time but I was there today and that was a top drawer defensive performance and display, the boys really showed fight (especially the last 20 mins), great effort and what an atmosphere, real togetherness with the players and fans (who were superb), cmon u orns

Just watched the highlights, what abject finishing from the World's Biggest Team. I just hope we didn't use all our luck up this afternoon. We are deadly dull to watch and to listen to though and I can't see Woy&Way being allowed to operwate beyond the season. They have made us so boring that Burnley seem like Pele's Brazil in comparison. What an awful season.

Both of them were late equalisers, Cally in one and Colin West in the other. The Cally one was the opening game of the season, Gorden Strachan's United debut so it was the live game on Radio 2. You could tell Watford had equalised right at the end by the wonderful silence punctuated by some distant cheers from the away fans. Happy days.

I was in that away end that day. The United fans had been taunting us all afternoon for being ‘little Watford’, so Cally’s last minute equaliser was glorious.

The FA Cup game in 1969 was 1-1 our goal scored by Stewart Scullion and I believe scored first, the replay was rescheduled after the first date was cancelled due to weather with us losing 2-0 when the match was eventually played to what was our record attendance 34099, in what was my first game supporting the hornets!

Possible, perhaps, but it's only one point fewer than we have collected in 26 games to date, so implausible is probably a generous assessment of its likelihood as it stands.

Have you actually been to the Vic this season? Because you're talking bollox, as per - that's not what happens at all.

Here is that goal in all it's glory (nice strike too...) about 25 minutes in.

Sorry I did see a shorter video a while back but cannot find it.

Did I hear right there was only 3 minutes of injury time at the end today?

Blimey really was our lucky day - surely should have been double that as Man U weren't winning!

I don't expect Roy and Ray to be here either way next season.

If you can't say anything good about the team you purport to support why not do us all a favour and say nothing at all, as that would be far better for team morale than always being negative :(

I think we’ve all become so unaccustomed to drawing matches.

Under both Munoz and Ranieri, they were a rarity. It was either win or bust. (Usually win in Xisco’s tenure, bust in Ranieri’s).

Since Ivic departed, we totally got out of the habit of not losing matches we couldn’t win.

In the same way that not being able to draw at Villa in our last PL season ultimately cost us relegation, so it might sadly prove to be the stupid last ditch loss at Brentford does for us this time, especially as they are now falling closer to the drop zone themselves. We gave them an unnecessary three point swing. Spurs at home was another sad example of failing to draw a match we weren’t quite good enough to win.

Or it could still be of course that the points we twice took off Newcastle, at Burnley and again yesterday could still be hugely important. It’s always disappointing not to win, especially in the league position we are in, but managing to draw matches we aren’t good enough to win is still not the worst habit to get into. It gives me hope that we could still get something from Arsenal and Chelsea, and although I’m not getting carried away lol, who knows how hard we might be to break down too at the Etihad.

Obviously the next thing to work at, as well as our home form, is our attack. Just two goals in six games now under RH patently isn’t good enough despite encouraging results like yesterday. We’ve yet to score with our feet since he arrived.

You realise RIGHT now, that LOGIC would knock 95% of posters OUT of the forum?
What would be the POINT of a forum if you can only POST positive stuff?
Do you think the PLAYERS read this forum before going out onto the pitch and it has the same motivating/non-motivating EFFECT as crowd reaction ?

It depends on the aim of your play. Our aim yesterday was to draw and we accomplished that well. Against Palace our aim was to win and we fell short.

It appeared to be 4-1-4-1 at times. King was certainly playing on the wing and Dennis on his own up front.

Munoz got 1 draw in the PL, against Newcastle at home whilst simultaneously conceding 20 shots against us. If you’re counting the Championship Ranieri probably would’ve got a few more wins given the chance.

The first thing I want to say is well done to our away supporters all I could hear on TV was your constant chanting and singing in support of the team.

I really believe if we can replicate that type of support at The Vic we can really become that mythical twelfth man and perhaps help give the team the momentum they need to end our terrible home form and press on to win those vital remaining home games and get the points we need to stay up.

I have just watched the game on Sky's Match Choice, and although United had the majority of possession they were not as dominant as the pundits etc. suggested they were, because we were set up to defend and hit on the break so of course they appeared to be dominant, and yes they did have a few decent chances of scoring, but those chances were down to their good forward play, which you would expect from world class players, rather than poor defending on our part, which is what the commentators etc. suggested it was.

Yes they had had 22 shots on goal, but only THREE of those were on target, the rest were well defended by us. As for Ben Foster, again the pundits suggested he was our MOTM, and yes he pulled off 2 or 3 vital saves and put in a good performance, but all in all our defence shielded him and our goal very well against a world class attack.

We were not lucky as the pundits etc. suggested we defended well and earned that point. It's just a pity we did not create very much up front, but to be fair Dennis had very little help as King and Sarr played more like defenders than attackers in this match, which is probably what they were instructed to do by Roy.

    Individual performances: -

Foster - Again he could not be faulted and did what he had to do, although as he said himself he did not have that much to do.
Ngakia - I noticed he got some slagging from some on here, but he did a reasonable job IMO, not fantastic but not bad either.
Cathcart - Another steady game and still defying his many critics on here IMO.
Samir - Also another steady game from him, a great signing IMO.
Kamara - Yet another decent display, he only has one slight weakness IMO, and that is his aerial ability, but is quite short to be fair.
Louza - Yet another great game and my MOTM, he really is looking the part and I think he will get even better too.
Sissoko - A good industrious display, but he really must work on his passing and shooting.
Cleverly - Better than last week, and a reasonable display.
Sarr - He put in a decent defensive performance no doubt under Roy's orders, but Roy really needs to play him to his strengths at home.
King - Likewise Sarr, but as a result left Dennis isolated.
Dennis - Tried his best but was too isolated, this must not happen at home as we really must start scoring goals if we are to survive.
    Kabasele - Steady performance
    Kucka - Did OK
Sema - Sorry, but he is looking very unfit and barely broke into a trot, we must start using someone else from the bench.

A very important point, if we can pull off a few more unexpected points like that, and take the winnable home points then I am still very hopeful of our Premier league survival...

Like Roy or not, that’s 3 clean sheets in 6 games when previously we were closing in on the Premier League record for consecutive failures for keeping clean sheets.

Was there in 1985 - also Alan Brazils home debut too i think . Was interesting getting out of OT after a 95th minute equaliser

Maybe crap is a little harsh for his overall game, but I cannot argue with you when it comes to what should be his prime job which is putting the ball in the net ;)

King is like a hybrid of Deeney and Gray. He has great hold up play at times (Deeney) but most of time cannot score a good chance (Gray) despite getting into good positions. Yesterday I think we can give him the benefit of the doubt - we were a nothing attacking force for obvious reasons. But going forward he has to start creating and scoring chances.

Kučka was abysmal. If he could actually pass the bad, we could have won that at the death.

It wasn't pretty but I enjoyed the fight and it's always good to see "big club" fans walking home annoyed.

They really annoyed me earlier in the season singing "you're only here for United" so I gave it a blast of "you're only here for the Watford" outside before kick off. Most laughed but one got really angry and shouted "c-*t" in my face.

I suspect Arsenal will tear us a new one next week.

Shows you the maturity of some "fans" of these bigger clubs in general. Could not take a little banter from a club much smaller than his side. Must of been a somber journey back down to Devon after supporting his local team.

Ngakia is not going to make it as a long term professional.
IMO, he was awful at Man Utd. Just booting it out as if the ball was about to explode.
Still, a point from a game where a 6 or7 nil loss would have flattered us is ok with me.
