Even the Wolves SF was almost a disaster, dropping Deulofeu for Gray, who proceeded to miss our 2 best chances and conceding 2. On Garcia's later form, we lose that game 2 or 3-0.

Not Manat still out here after all this time claiming disingenuously that he thinks a team's tactical setup is literally the 11 players chosen to be on the pitch, surely?

Not really. He set up the winner.

I didn't see the first 20 mins as I said on the shout box due to circumstances out of my control - **** me, MOTD has just shown that first Leeds opportunity that came entirely from a weak backpass by Sissoko but far more the fact that WTE stood stock still and waited for it to come to him, despite it clearly being underhit and a Leeds player clearly buzzing around, even visible to WTE himself. Back to WTE basics, it seems. Marvellous.

    Definitely.

Probably why the Kabasele goal was ruled out .

Although did the ref blow before the ball went in so goal couldn’t be allowed?

I can see it now, we've just been battered 8-0 by Liverpool and Foster and WTE are on the pitch afterwards telling their GoPros how they've managed to nab the shirts of absolute ballers Salah and Mane.

He's been one of our better players since Brighton, but after a solid opening few minutes he was back to his worst, which is a good indicator of how bad the performance as a whole was - I have a poor footballing memory so I couldn't list the litany of bad things he did, but among others were his hospital passes and dwelling too long on the ball and for all Leeds' dominance it's not like he was consistently forced into those by relentless pressure, just a bad day at the office for whatever reason.

To be fair we did Success-fully offload one of our big failures on them for a change.

A player that we paid 12.5m for, probably given to them for free. Not the same as our Pussetto type deals.

He's currently injured and hasn't played a minute for them. Which is a shock.

Just seen it on MOTD. Cooper fouls and then wrestles/Rugby tackles Kabs to the ground. If goalkeeper hadn't dropped the ball into the net then a defo penalty to us. 33% possession. Dreadful.

It's not just the transfer fee, it's the wages too. Meaning he was an even bigger waste of money.

A winner that nearly didn't come about because he fluffed 2 chances in normal time.

Simply not true. Obviously it was a disastrous result and we looked disorganised but we still created chances in that game. Can remember Gray in particular missing a really good one to make it 1-1. The stats show that that game was nothing like today's.

Of course it's the owners fault that we overspent previously. Giving a micro budget to strengthen will get us relegated this year.

If he's not on the pitch then Delefeo doesn't score the winner. There is no nearly about it, Watford won what was one of the best games in their history.

This is the argument a certain Watford-supporting journalist was promoting on Facebook - rather vigorously.
Classic Strawman - assumes the only alternative to Gray is a player that does literally nothing at all.

One of the worst matches in a long long time.

No redeeming features among the players apart from Rose showed his class again.

The best thing is finally we are all on the same page about the tool in charge. Hopelessly, helplessly out of his depth. Even the staunchest 'he just needs more time!' merchants can now see what a catastrophic error it was to retain him.

The rumours circulating among the poor saps watching that shyt show is that Hughes and chalobah didn't sign their deals purely because of his absolute lack of ability as a coach and they feared he'd turn them into worse players. What must Sarr be thinking right now?

Some fans who have gone consistently even throughout some seriously dark times are refusing to go to anymore matches until he's gone. It must happen Monday.

What were our owners thinking keeping him in the summer? It is beyond belief. I don't blame the idiots among our fan base who wanted to keep him, I expect it from them, but the owners? Amazing.

Our midfield is so unbalanced with both Kucka and Sissoko in there. Two similar players with Sissoko being the superior player. I don't get Kucka, looks miles off the pace every time I have seen him. If the midfield isn't working, by pass it. Unfortunately as much as I like Xisco as a person, he is bobbins.

I know this is probably an alien concept for you, but it will save them money they would otherwise have spent watching Watford.

Fair enough, it was the linking of that to “It must happen Monday” as if there was a causal connection between not going and a managerial sacking, when I can’t imagine Gino gives a flying ****.

We scored from a corner at the match. Our defending of corners was as good a part of our performance as any. Leeds we’re no shake#, carry on like that and they will be in the mix.

My principle criticism of the performance was that the players seemed to have no confidence. They lacked application, poor distribution, never won a race for a second ball. The shape seemed chaotic. That’s the coaching IMHO.

The Foster reaction interview on Hive Live put out by the club was very revealing. It implied the players knew what the game would be like, but unable to perform.

I think the manager is gone.

I don't believe Foster for a second. If you had prepared for that game there would have been at least 5 minutes where we looked competent. Even if we had prepared it wasn't working and yet again Xisco had absolutely no idea how to change things during the game.

The Sarr signing stands out as a club getting high on its own fumes.

They thought they'd cracked it and could now sign some super teen who would be the next Mbappe, pocketing them a huge profit and making Sanchez look like chicken feed.

Instead, he's proved great at destroying Championship defenses and not much else. His 4 goals have papered over a vast majority of disinterested and ineffective performances unless he's given space and a slow full back to roast. Even Paul Devlin's worst was better than Sarr's.

Meanwhile, the obvious gaps in out team were neglected and we went down and nearly into admin.

    But 'lessons were learned.'

We then got promoted, and because two players didn't accept the terms offered in a seemingly 'take it or leave it' fashion, we hounded them out, choosing instead to gamble on more and more unknowns.

Freebies and loans plus a 9m french/Moroccan who will never be good enough.

Meanwhile the defence, surely the bedrock of any survival hope was neglected AGAIN.

We have a Championship defence, bursting with individual errors and a complete inability to play the ball, despite a stubborn insistence that we make them anyway.

We have 2 goalkeepers who are 3rd choice quality at best, both of whom have cost us goals directly already.

We have rolled the dice on forwards and midfielders. The former through necessity after failing to address the area for 4 years and the latter because the Pozzos are pig headed and wanted our only potential prem midfielders from last season gone.

But remember. Lessons have been learned.

The current state of both goal and defence are absolutely sickening - genuinely unacceptable. And yet, of course, we had multiple posters freaking out at any suggestion in the summer that Bachmann wasn't the greatest thing since sliced bread and ready to win the golden glove, with Foster the experienced Premier League warrior providing backup to form the highest-quality goalkeeping stable in the Premier League.
