I don't despise Corbyn. I despise some of what he stands for and his inability, or unwillingness, to take on ant-Semitism in the Labour Party. But I don't despise him. And I'll not stick up for naughty perv tories. It's up to their constituents to get rid of them.

It is a very unpleasant situation that the public are faced with, when they feel they have no alternative but to vote for tory pervs and liars to avoid electing Labour MPs, who they don't trust to run the country, even if they would trust them with their knicker draw.

We know there are flawed MPs and human beings out there, and we may not all be that perfect ourselves. That doesn't mean that voters should not be able to vote for who they want, but it is VERY important that they know about them so they may make an informed choice.

It doesn't surprise me at all. The slow decline in standards and competence in the Tory party has dragged a lot of good people along with it without them realising. It's the old slowly heating up a pan full of frogs in an water. They don't realise until it's too late that the water has become too hot for them to survive.

Any Tory from even just 7 years ago would not recognise the Conservative party of today. I even heard someone describe Theresa May as not a "proper Tory" as she has dared to criticise Johnson!

Hopefully more grassroot Tories will speak out and wrestle their party back from the corruption and sleaze that has currently engulfed it.

He says he must have opened it by mistake, but hasn't there been suggestions that he did this on more than 1 occasion?

It's the classic excuse along with: "The dog ate my homework", and "I was doing the vacuuming in my dressing gown when it fell open, I tripped up, and accidentally ended up on the end of the suction tube, nurse".

Years ago, a drinking mate was training to be a nurse, and he had stints on the "Willy Ward" where people injure themselves in the pursuit of sexual gratification, for example, sticking Percy in a milk bottle and, sucking/pumping air in/out with expected consequences, golf balls up the jacksie, that sort of thing. These escapades were bad enough but the excuses they came out with were something to behold, a Tory MP could learn so much.

This attitude is a direct consequence of the culture now prevalent in this government.

Why shouldn't an MP make multiple, ludicrous excuses for misbehaviour in an attempt to hang on to his job when he sees the PM doing exactly the same?

And of course he will have no fear of the toothless Parliamentary Commissioner for Standards who will probably issue nothing more than a reprimand.

There was a time, not that long ago, when parliamentarians behaved with honour and would fall on their swords if they fell below the standards that are expected.

Now they can do what they like knowing that the Prime Minister has probably done worse and has got away with it.

Each political party needs to come from a broad church and contain a healthy proportion of moderate pragmatic individuals. Trouble with the current incumbents of the Conservative Party is that many of these moderate members have been hounded out of the Party, mainly due to Brexit and the lurch to the right, and replaced with right-leaning neo-capitalist zealots. Labour is trying to realign itself and shift towards the centre, the Tories need to do the same.

Yep. Resigned and admitted to watching porn in the chamber twice. Once 'by accident' and the other time deliberately when he was standing next to the Speaker's chair. WTF?

This afternoon's Any Answers was dominated by a question about the Porno Parliament, some real batsh1te opinions as usual, but a real corker of an edition. Highly entertaining.

I should be a nailed on Labour voter but haven't been able to because of the in house tomfoolery.
Voting Tory was never an option.
Anyone who claims to be a nailed on Tory but this time "I'm voting Labour" is a fraud.
Or the story is fake .

  25. Interview with Susannah Read.
SR: "Elsie is 77 years old and her energy bill has risen from £19 to £89. She has cut down to one meal a day and spends the day on buses to keep warm".
ABdPJ: "Of course it was me who introduced the Freedom Bus Pass". *

    Lost for words.

    * It wasn't. The Freedom Pass was introduced in 1973.

He’s a staggeringly vacuous, yet boastful idiot. Anyone voting for him this week needs to take a long hard look at themselves.

Is he competent? No. Is he honest? Lol. Is he kind? He gives not a care.

It’s truly a ‘let them eat cake’ moment, seemingly fine that a pensioner takes the bus all day to keep warm. Let them ride buses.

This time it’s Let them eat value brands as privately-educated, landowner and UKiP entrist George Eustice tells the plebs to buy own brand labels.

This is odd, because his family own Tevaskis Farm whose luxury shop is a ‘foodies delight’ and contains no own brands whatsoever. So man of the people George clearly doesn’t expect ordinary people to visit.

Here's another strand of populist Johnson politics:

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-61332465

I couldn't give two hoots about Connelly but of course it's not about her, she's just the distraction for the simpletons. This isn't the first time either. The Tories have been picking at this for a couple of years at least now, drip drip undermining the Parole Board for short term political credit.

If politicians want to play judge, jury and prison officer it's a very slippery slope. And the concept of a 'ministerial check' is proper banana republic type stuff.
