It's definitely time to rethink Hitler. What about his positive qualities?

    Cars for the people?

He revolutionised the auto industry with Volkswagen.

A particularly great idea was when you could put down a deposit on a VW beetle far in advance of its production.

Isn't that Shearer replying to a salute? Newcastle's crowd wasn't quite as receptive to multiculturalism in those days.

Here's some modern day nazis doing the salute. Pretty much identical, I'm not fully positive he knew what he was doing, but I believe he knew what he was doing more than I believe he was being clumsy.

    Great video.

It's really hard to tell how many people who are saying it wasn't a fascist salute are:
    1. In denial
    2. Russian misinformation bots/trolls
    3. Western facists who loved it and want him to get away with it

Perhaps he'll start to wear a white-hooded robe and burn crosses just to confirm. Will also help firm-up the Southern vote too.

I will repeat, I personally think it’s a clumsy expression and he had no intention of performing a fascist salute. With an audience of the world what can be gained by that?

if I’m wrong, and my friends and I are gathered up and put on trains heading to certain death in the near future then, if I get a chance, I will come back on social media and admit I was wrong!

    What would be gained is:
    1. His personal delight of doing it and getting away with it because he's a 4chan edgelord
    2. A signal to the violent right wing Americans that he is on their side and they should back him. IE the proudboys and other brown shirt groups.
    3. Slowly pushing the envelope in what is acceptable
Regarding your second point, it's very unlikely trump and musk will round up Jews and put them on trains

While I understand you are Jewish and understandably look at this through that lens, facism and Nazism wasn't a system created purely to kill Jewish people.

In the 1930s the Jews were one of the victims alongside everyone else deemed as a problem to the Aryan race and the 3rd Reich. A modern day nationalist American fascist party doesn't necessarily hate Jewish people or even black people. The same rhetoric and methods used to dehuminise Muslims, Mexicans and others, blame the national problems on them and then create totalitarian state is still the danger of the USA far right movement

Why would Trump post on Truth Social in 2022 that he had dinner with Nick Fuentes, a known neo nazi? What could be gained by that?

Also no mention on here of Biden pardoning in his entire family and lots of others including 'Dr Fauci'.....Hmmm, I wonder why on earth he would need to be pardoned!?!

    Funny that.

  23. It has been mentioned, and criticised.

As for why Fauci needs pardoning? He wouldn't under any normal administration because he has done nothing wrong, except make Trump look stupid (bleach anyone? Tremendously strong light?), and Trump is a vindictive **** who has loudly proclaimed he's after payback.

What has Liz Cheney done that she needs a preemptive pardon? **** all apart from stand up and tell the unpleasant truth about Trump from the Republican ranks.

  24. Also, why have you put 'Dr Fauci' in quotes? Is it because you think he's not a real doctor?

Anthony Stephen Fauci born December 24, 1940) is an American physician-scientist and immunologist who served as the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) from 1984 to 2022, and the chief medical advisor to the president from 2021 to 2022.[6] Fauci was one of the world's most frequently cited scientists across all scientific journals from 1983 to 2002.[7][8] In 2008, President George W. Bush awarded him the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the highest civilian award in the United States, for his work on the AIDS relief program PEPFAR.

to be honest it’s not worth me arguing with you about. You will say it was an intentional salute, I think it was a clumsy “from my heart” type gesture. The only person that truly knows is Elon himself

it’s a bit like our politics. We see things from such polar opposite angles that we are never going to agree. And if I wanted to truly get into a left v right political conversation I would do it in a boozer over a friendly pint

because in the end we both want the same things…health, happiness and a better world for our kids. Where we will differ is who is better placed to deliver that

I tend to agree that he probably wasn't consciously thinking "Nazi salute" when he did it.

But it's not a natural "from the heart" gesture most people would go to imho. Most people, I would suggest, would blow a kiss or put both arms out in an embracing or celebratory way after patting their heart.

As you say, we will never know for sure what he was thinking when he made the salute but, to me, in some ways it's more worrying that his subconscious went there.

I see that Trump in his FOX interview was threatening "lawfare" against Biden.

Biden gave pardons to his family and his allies but didn't give himself one.

I suspect it's all hot air from Trump as his argument has always been that a POTUS is immune from from prosecution. If he opens that can of worms he could face the consequences when he leaves office.

As I've said before, I think the POTUS pardons have been corrupted and are no longer used as intended. I am surprised the US citizens are not more outraged about it tbh.
