Why are us Brit's so hung up on Blatter and Fifa? Most other nations really don't give a flying fck.

I don't understand. FIFA/Blatter hate the British media as much as the media hate them/him.

People who don't like corruption don't like them. What's wrong with that?

Protests in Switzerland? Protests in Brazil?

    I could go on.

So, just so I understand your position. Following your endless rants on this Forum against corruption amongst the rich and powerful, you are not bothered about rich individuals in FIFA doing exactly that to line their own pockets even more, at the detriment to the game we all love? Why the change in morals/standards/attitude? Is it because Blatter speaks your beloved German, or something?

  12. Godfather

That's not my position at all .... my point is there is far more corruption going on behind closed doors in the city yet we hardly hear a squeak about it.

Fifa on the whole has always looked after the little guy and resisted more powerful nation's desire to monopolise ... that I've always liked but it's made Blatter some enemies I won't deny that ... He's Swiss not German btw so as usual you are bordering on the ridiculous in your attempts to shoot me down, you horrible little man.

Speaking of which - it'll be Platini next. Do you really expect us to benefit?

Typical, when your hypocrisy is there for everybody to see, you resort to your usual name calling!

I said he SPOKE German (it is his native language), not that he was German. Maybe you should learn to read English!

But, at least I now understand your hypocrisy.

    Carry on!

Platini will be no better than Blatter. He's just as bent.

Maybe, I don't like him either, but at least he knows that everything FIFA do will be under far more scrutiny, and that must mean some improvement.

So why fcking mention it? .... and yes I really don't like Platini.

I told you, I wanted it clarifying.

    I couldn't believe what hypocrisy I was reading. Now I do. ;)

Outside of the sponsors, who probably just want the furore to die down rather than being particularly fussed if the problem is actually solved, I don't think any of the power brokers are interested in real change. Any improvement will be in PR and how things are presented. The only saving grace will be the proposed introduction of term limits for the President, although I've not seen if they're proposing to go for 4 or 5... :]]

Warner's extradition approved by the Trinidad Attorney General:

Guessing he'll roll over and squeal in no time at all. Warner being utterly corrupt was pretty much the worst kept secret in world football.

Another one to be extradited today, this time from Switzerland. While the Swiss have laws against extraditing Swiss nationals, they don't protect anyone who isn't Swiss. The man targeted in this case is Rafael Esquivel from Venezuela so they're happy to hand him over.

Bet this bloke will drop a bunch of others in it via plea bargain, too.

    Haha, Warner rolled over fast!

Interesting that Platini is now mentioned. Might explain why France voted for Blatter in the last election.

Sepp is still flipping the bird to the world, but I can't imagine he withstands the loss of revenue at this point.

Basically, I'm guessing Adidas and GAZPROM are backing Sepp, the US sponsors are against, and Hyundai is on the fence. GAZPROM will never abandon Sepp. If adidas bounces, then it's over.

    Perhaps they can't remove him.

The fact that 90 days is the longest they could suspend him for is a message in itself. They went for the maximum penalty. They wouldn't do that unless they felt there were solid grounds for it.

If he had any sense of decorum and good grace he'd step down now, since he can't claim to be helping FIFA fix things when he's not allowed to work.

But he won't, of course. He loves power too much.

That's the Fifa ethics committee. It's about as credible as the kkk's diversity officer.

This ban carries through to Jan 7th, assuming it isn't extended or ended early.

Blatter is supposed to step down in February.

If he had any class and decorum whatsoever he'd step down now.
