I'm going on Sunday now. I'm expecting a HH vs Leicester type return for ED (Emmanuel Dennis, not erectile dysfunction, which I know is prevalent across the upper GT).
I think it's long overdue for you to do one of those analyses where you tell us what the result of every game will be between now and the end of the season so we can assess exactly where we are likely to finish. Or is it just 40+ 18x3 = 94 points now ?
This guy is going to get us promoted and will fire us into the FA Cup final. Will be a tough season for the urine soaked mattress gang. 'ORNETS!
No, Europa League (or whatever it's called these days) will get in the way of finishing 17th next season (that's what Watford fans usually say, right?)
I don't want to deprive you but I'm afraid I cannot deliver the analysis this season. 10 crap players plus 1 Premier League Super Star just won't compute. It's a scary thought, but you're going to have to think for yourself on this.
Playing in the Europa League would be enjoyable and novel; completely different to the domestic cup competitions.
The irony of winning the cup twice this season due to both Man City and Forest falling foul off FFP will be delicious!
OK thanks, I guess it will be more fun with the uncertainty of not knowing the result in advance whilst watching each match.
Winning the league cup or FA cup would be infinitely better than playing in a European competition, no matter how much you try and pedal this line.
TBF I don't think he was saying that just qualifying for the Europa league would be better than winning a domestic cup.
Yes though I don't get excited about winning R3 or R4 matches at least. I just don't believe we can win it and the later we get knocked out the more bitter the disappointment and the more it's likely to interfere with a promotion push. Much as I want us to win every game, I can see the upside in an early exit. When we fail to reach the POs some I'm sure will say that we should have focused more on the cup but it's not as though we will win it....
We've got no chance of winning either of those cups for the foreseeable future. Perhaps managing to go a few rounds in a European competition before inevitably getting knocked out would be more entertaining (and probably more lucrative) than our inevitable getting knocked out of the other cups.
I notice that strange podcast bloke is saying on X that Dennis hasn't taken a pay-cut, the other 70% is being paid for by Forest. Any of you ITK's know if that's true? He seems determined to **** all over the Dennis deal, very odd. Personally I couldn't care less what he's being paid or where it comes from, it's not my money and we get to see a quality CF for half a season.
Forest paying the other 70% would of course be entirely logical. Seemed a strange move for him to accept a 70% reduction in contracted pay for 4 months....but hey, who knows....
‘As soon as the yellow shirt is on his back, I’ll support him unreservedly’. The bloke must be at least 50 and he speaks like that. But then again, the audience he’s trying to pander to is Watford twitter.
I bet he can't wait for Dennis to have a stinker. Even better for him would be Dennis falling out with his mate Ismael, I can imagine the smug tweets now.
We’ve relatively recently reached a semi final and a final of a cup, the closest we’ve ever got to Europe (in the same period) is finishing 11th. I think I know which is more likely, either way I certainly know which would be better.
Who are we talking about here? X has started to feed me culture wars content and so I'm seeing less of these self aggrandised fan leaders on my feed.
