We got relegated from when Sarr got injured vs Man Utd; he was playing well until then and we were doing alright.

Dennis still continued his form until the Afcon, but it was pointless as we kept losing even when he scored as only he was doing anything with Sarr missing.

At least we will making money on him which is kind of how the Pozzos model was/is meant to work - a rare success story in that case.

It would be good to see Dennis score some more goals before the end of the season, as it will help to increase the price.

    Is Sarr still injured?

Well he's not seemed right since he returned; perhaps he's still carrying a bit of something, or he just can't be bothered anymore given we're already down and he's about to leave anyway.

I'd say the latter. I've said before what's the point of having insane pace if you don't use it. I can only think of our opening game against Villa where they ended up taking Matt Target off because Sarr was making his life a misery. It's just so frustrating.

I believe it was his choice in the end not to go to AFCON as the Nigerian manager told him he would not be guaranteed to play and that he was just a squad player for them to make up the numbers.

It is up to you all individually which version you believe, but I am pretty sure it was mooted on this forum that it was Dennis's own choice not to go in the end.

So you seriously believe Dennis approach the Nigerian manager after receiving invitation to play in the Afcon to ask if he will be guaranteed to play in the Afcon? Don't tell me you believe everything you see on the internet. It's funny you didn't believe the more credible one where we tried to stop him from going to the Afcon due to some funny reasons regarding the timing of the invitation.

For the attention of Wallosh10 please see highlighted section of my quote above.

As I said the version that he made the decision not to go himself in the end was raised on either this forum or the official club site, NOT on some random website, and I also say it is up to the individual to believe what version they want to believe.

I recall he was playing poorly before then and especially in that game. The difference was he was playing poorly but still getting a couple of goals. When we played at Norwich he was absolutely toilet but scored twice, as is the way with modern football he won MOTM because he scored rather than his overall performance.

He’s been poor for the majority of the season. People have been making excuses for him but the truth is he has lacked commitment.

Brentford really stepping up their pursuit of him if reports are to be believed.

Could relegate them. They want to spend some money on the defence

I would be delighted with 20 plus million I am still not convinced that Dennis just didn't have a purple patch as he has hardly been prolific anywhere else.

Tbf if there are multiple Prem clubs interested in him, I think we can wangle £25m for him. He may not have a consistent track record, but he's always shown flashes, and I don't think his downturn in form with us is entirely down to him as we were so negative under Woy

Sounds like Gino will get his bidding war if reports are to be believed. West Ham, Brentford, Everton, Palace and supposedly Newcastle back in. Starting price is £20mil. So hopefully we end up getting £25mil for him like you said.

Exactly this, scored just 5 league goals in previous 2 seasons prior to joining Watford and only 2 since January. So one good half season in 3 years.

The question is can he last a whole season without falling out with others ?

I think they have their own competition.Even amongst modern players they have both developed it into an art form.

Trust me, if he ends up joining a better team with a good manager like Liverpool, Leicester, W ham or Aston Villa, we will eventually end up regretting we sold him for less than 30m.

There wouldn’t be anything to regret, we don’t have the means to sell him for more than £30m. Our circumstances and the fact he’s only actually performed for a small period across a whole PL season will determine his price. If he goes on to do well for a better side there is nothing we could’ve done to have got any more money, so there will be nothing to regret as that’s just how football works. If players do well at better clubs their value increases, that’s always been the case.

I think we could tell he wasn’t best buddies with the others last season on the pitch.

Probably just get shipped off to Udinese if no one wants him .

Also good to know that Danjuma's agent has already become so 'disillusioned' by trying to manoeuvre a deal for Dennis and all its/our moving parts that he has stepped back from the process entirely.
