What do you do with a teenager who's had a breakout season but who has no immediate chances of regular first team football ahead of Doucoure, Capoue, Hughes and Chalobah...keep him rotting on the bench not doing anything, that'll help his development!

With Quina I assume it must be attitude, or lack of tactical discipline, rather than ability. I personally don't think Ngakia is good enough either tbh.

 

He'll begin well, score a couple of long range goals and have the fans purring. Then he'll start getting subbed earlier each game before becoming a sub himself, then remaining unused on the bench. Then he'll come back next season, say that he's really learned from his latest loan, feature in the pre season videos before being sold/loaned.

 

And you can be damn sure I'll be convinced he's the answer to our midfield problems when I see a twitter clip of him scoring a free kick in a training drill

A tangent but do you remember when Boro got Fabbrini on loan and he started incredibly? For a three week period they were convinced they had signed 1987 Maradona.

 

Fair point. In the real world context any sympathy for footballers working conditions needs to be taken with a pinch of salt.

I think if you combined the best of Fabrinni's attributes with the best of Fessi's attributes you would have had a generational talent.

 

As long as this hybrid includes Fessi’s unbelievable ability to dive and wind up defenders, I’m all in.
