Presumably tonight's game won't count as the final one in his ban as he wasn't registered with us in time to be eligible?
As I understand it it just counts as one of his Sunderland games, so he's still just banned from Chelsea now before he's available.
Good to see that someone who knows a something about Ndong says he could be a very decent signing: exceptionally good at breaking up play (but a bit average on the ball...) http://www.hertfordshiremercury.co....ructive-middle-sloppy-possession-what-1158578
Sounds a bit like Behrami tackling wise . He was immense in his first season here and although might not help with our quick passing game he might be what we need in a relegation scrap , someone who is just going to be in there stopping the opposition playing . I’m encouraged by this.
A midfield axis of ndong and doucoure might be defensively strong and mobile enough to field a luxury player in the middle like pereyra or hughes when fit. Having a central midfield of Doucoure, Cleverly, and Capoue doesn't create enough chances IMO.
Agreed. I've been saying all along that this could be a really underrated piece of business by us and he will come in and do the basics and allow others like Doucoure and Cleverley/Hughes to get further up the pitch and join in.
So this ****** can't even make the bench. More money flushed down the ******* by the pozzos following useless advice from The Best Scouting Network In The World.
He is clearly an insurance policy - costing bugger all i suspect - just in case we lose the services of others and are left with having to field a spotty 14 year old - you don't complain when you don't crash your car and think the premium paid was a waste - you think that god we did not crash
Exactly, it's a loan in which we're probably not paying much in terms of a loan fee. The details of the loan agreement said we have the option of making the loan permanent if certain criteria are met. I'd presume this is appearances made (loan will be made permanent if he makes 10 appearances or something similar). We've had Sunderland's pants down as there was probably no desire on our part to make him a regular part of the first team - just use him as cover for injuries - and he hasn't been needed yet. I've no qualms about the fact he hasn't even played a single minute yet and will only use him sparingly, I'd actually prefer that so we don't trigger whatever clause means we sign him permanently.
I could be wrong but I reckon the club are just using it as an extended trial. He's obviously been on the scouting radar to some degree and this is an opportunity to get a good look at him. If we can avoid triggering the mandatory signing clause - which seems a shoe in now with 9 games left - he might be one we look to integrate into the first team squad for next season, particularly as the asking price will only go down if Sunderland are relegated.
Presumably he’s back up for Hughes in the sick bay now that Will is back fit again. Elite level attention to detail.
