What a turnaround in this side. Just last summer we refused to chase a modest NZ total to bat out a draw.

In the end the declaration worked out perfectly. Incredibly brave, but left them in no man's land after looking likely to win yesterday

 

Great declaration as keeps them interested and playing shots. I'm saying this after the game has finished of course!

 

I'm sure we will lose the odd game doing that but under Stokes I'd rather that than declare with an impossible total for the opposition to chase in the time that it will end up a draw.

 

That result is only just starting to sink in. To win that required an unprecedented level of batting aggression.

Creates so much excitement in what is (in my opinion) the most special format of any sport in the world

All this new approach is going to be undone unless we can find a decent spinner. Leach is playing at his maximum bless him, but wouldn't get anywhere near the side for any other major test nation.

They have high hopes for Ahmed but they can't realistically hope he has an impact at test level for at least a few years
