    Update. One of the friends I was going out with last night couldn’t come because she has Covid and one of the friends Mr HH went to Cheltenham with this week has texted this morning to say he’s tested positive. Definitely feels like the net is closing in..

    The battle is on - after Mr HH got the text from his Cheltenham buddy saying he had it, I then got a notification last night saying I had been in close contact with someone who had tested positive (I didn’t think I even had the app downloaded any more so that was a surprise in itself). We’re still holding out so far though. Just need to last out the week as I have four social events planned. After that I could probably do with a few days in bed so bring it on!

    Does anyone know how the Covid notifications work these days? I have now had 5 notifications since last night saying I have been in close contact with someone who tested positive. Why am I getting so many? It’s getting quite tedious now.

    Estimated that 4.9m people had Covid last week, including me. Hospital admissions the highest since early 2021.

    It may be easiest if anyone who hasn’t had it in the last fortnight makes it known.

    It's in the Willis household now. Mrs Willis caught it last week at a conference in Manchester (henceforth to be known as the Plague City), which has turned out to be a bit of a superspreader event. She has had quite a bad cough, but so far I have got away with a sore throat and feeling a bit achy.
