Lots of nice Fleetwood Mac tunes, many of which she wrote.

But what is it about Rumours? Wasn’t particularly my sort of music at the time, but it’s tremendously listenable. Each song distinct, but the whole album has a great feel. I hear songs from it now and I’m instantly transported back to hearing it on my Sony Music Centre (featuring a turntable, cassette, radio and 2x 30w speakers). Nice.

Thanks for the great songs. RIP.

I think they’ve performed without her a number of times, but with Buckingham. Without both of them you’d assume that would be that for them as a touring band.

Christine McVie has died aged 79.

    Wonderful musician, songwriter and lady.

Another piece of the iconography of my youth disappears.

Her harmonies with Stevie Nicks stay in your head.

    RIP Christine.

    You will be greatly missed.

You know the stories behind the songs ? That's what makes it a great album. The love, the bitterness, the betrayal, all played out in songs written, played, and sung with real emotions by the lead characters, that's what made it such a great album.
    RIP Christine.

RIP she certainly didn't look her age, although at their peak Fleetwood Mac lived a pretty raunchy lifestyle, she came out of it pretty well and kept herself out of the public and gutter press eye, living in leafy Surrey and Kent!

Liked The Mac when Pete Green was at the helm, but let’s face it Rumours is just middle class dinner party music for the era before David Gray, Dido and James Blunt became famous .

Harsh. Rumours is still going strong 45 years on. I doubt if anyone has played a Dido tune in the last decade. And while James Blunt is awful, David Gray had at least one very decent album in him.
