I didn't know he wanted out. It wouldn't surprise me if he did though.
Everything was pathetic last Summer and I'm embarrassed to say that I was starting to believe what they were saying. But that's more about me I suppose than them.
It wasn't just RWB imo. The forwards bought in was nothing more than comical. But someone somewhere will justify it.

Could Davis have worked out in a front 2? Perhaps, although we'd have needed better depth, I think Forest had a lot of decent strikers that they were able to rotate last season and give him regular breathers, Surridge last season was far better than the likes of Bayo and Manaj...

From Tuesdays performance first half it looked like it. Even though him and JP weren't close enough for the majority of it.

Of their 9 games left, 5 teams are chasing play offs (if you include Sunderland) 2 are battling relegation. Its in their hands but not nailed on.

Most people couldn't give a sh1t. They may chuckle when they hear we've sacked another manager but that's about it

You’re right most people wouldn’t give a ****, but equally there is absolutely nothing to like about us either. We are a very dislikable club to anyone who doesn’t support us, and for many that do actually support us.

Makes you wonder how far back a person has to remember to when they actually went to a Watford game with a smile on their face, full of hope and expectation. Nowadays it is more of chore, and has been for the past 4 years. Fans' go to games to cheer and get behind a team, our problem is the squads we have now are a million miles from the squads under GT, Lewington, Malky, Zola and Joka. Sure, some where not the most technically gifted, but they put in a shift and didn't look like they would rather be anywhere else. Sad state of affairs.

    Did you know,
There are the same number of managers surviving from last season as have been appointed this year in the Championship, 7.
All the other managers were appointed at some point from June 22 to the end of 22.
Such a mad division with so many manager changes.

I can pinpoint that exactly. We’d watched Watford get promoted back to the PL without being able to go to games (well, I got to one which we lost) and we were looking forward to the first post-Covid game with new players, which we duly won in quite exciting fashion v Villa. So the answer to your question is when we made our way down to Brighton for the first away game… and were comprehensively beaten. It’s been almost relentlessly depressing since then.

A lot of people have criticised the 2020/21 team despite it breaking a fair few records because of not playing well in most games, but I'm sure playing most games behind closed doors played a part in that. I reckon in front of crowds the season would've have had much the same outcome but with more dynamic football and more goals, even if it wouldn't necessarily match the scintilating stuff of much of the previous promotion season. My theory is that, without meaning to put a damper on that victory, given the Villa squad were struck by Covid, we were effectively playing a Championship team that game, like a lot of teams the previous season who didn't know how to mark Sarr - it was like the Luton and Norwich victories but with an improved offence. Sadly though as the season panned out, as early as the Brighton game it became brutally apparent that most Premier League opposition actually played like Premier League teams and we were regularly exposed to the gulf in class which in the end we couldn't come close to bridging.

I wasn’t aware that Villa were “struck by Covid” that day, but this doesn’t look like a Championship team to me:
    1 (G) E Martinez
    2 (D) M Cash
    3 (D) M Targett (45)
    4 (D) E Konsa
    [IMG] 5 (D) T Mings
    18 (D) A Young
    7 (M) J McGinn
    10 (M) E Buendia (72)
    19 (M) M Nakamba
    21 (M) A El Ghazi (60)
    20 (F) D Ings

Even with the 12pts deduction they would still be 4pts ahead of us and no doubt still make the playoffs (you would think) still, not going up automatically would be a massive morale blow to the club. They have been (bar Boro') the next best side to Burnley all season.

Maybe the playoffs should be the four clubs with the biggest debt, the desperation to get into the Prem....

On point B), if A) happens, they might be so demoralised that they go on a bad run, but firstly that has to happen first, and secondly I'm more worried that the scum will benefit!

Since QPR beat us last weekend (their only win in over 3 months), they've been beaten 6-1 by 23rd place Blackpool, and 1-0 at home by Birmingham today. The same Birmingham team who are, based on Tuesdays showing, arguably the worst team I've seen us play this season.

Sums it all up. Not enough character in the squad and not ruthless enough to brush aside these teams like QPR and Wigan that you need to beat handily if you're serious about going up.

Pretty sure Morris for Lut*n is now suspended against us. Picked up and booking in the 91st minute.

I don't dislike QPR, but I find their recent results quite amusing after all that blood, sweat and tears they exuded to beat us - perhaps they should have treated it like a cup tie and not a final because it's clear they'll need at least another win to stay up. I don't know much about their squad but Ainsworth seems to have been a poor appointment as his style of football is suited to League 1 at best - doesn't matter that he's an ex-R, Ricky Hill was an ex-scummer and look what he did to our friends up the road.

The relegation battle could get quite interesting after the bottom three lately looked done and dusted, thanks to Warnock showing he still has it following his return to Huddersfield (and us lamentably failing to capitalize) - if QPR go down it would be a collapse to rival that of Millwall in 1995/96. Well, there's not much else to interest us for the rest of the season...

I can’t stand QPR, their relegation will balance out Luton’s promotion.

Seeng Burnley dismantled by a Man City B team, makes you wonder what’s the point.

And the three losers have to take on the debt of the winners. I like a good double or quits bet.

Actually felt a bit sorry for Luton over that penalty- was very soft .

Of course comes after Tony Mowbray had a big rant mid week over decisions Sunderland weren’t getting .

Maybe not really but was a tough call and classic example of a manager speaking out about unjust decisions going against them then said club getting one their way.

I do actually feel there might be some fans who wouldn’t mind seeing Rob Edwards doing well just to prove a point to the Pozzos!

Well now they know what losing 6-0 to the most expensive team in England feels like in the F.A Cup. Actually, ours is still worse... it was the final, and millions saw our humiliation.... damn.

Hardly a B team- only Ortega and Alvarez don't start for them in the league. Their starting front 5 (Mahrez, KDB, Alvarez, Foden and Haaland) have a combined 51 league goals this season
