Yes he was completely overwhelmed by the intensity of the Uruguay press. Really he's been a bit of a passenger for large swathes of Italy's games, but then he'll suddenly pop up with a moment of brilliance. It's why I think for the time being he should ideally be playing as the most advanced midfielder with two hard working midfielders to back him up. I don't know how some can expect him to play in the PL next season.
