I'm sure I was told this was a sensible signing.

The only loss is 6 months wages which is probably a pretty penny, or you could say a nice little earner, he failed to score a goal in his first period with us and unless they put him on penalty duties I doubt if we see one this time either!

Looks like he’s about two and a half of our own at the moment.

Thing is, in isolation, it'd be completely defensible as a worthwhile risk.

Piled on top of our other last 20 signings though, it's just further profligacy and bad scouting.

  6. Carpster

    Carpster Squad Player

    Pure desperation imo

Even though I hadn't seen much of Davis I was excited to see him play especially after people on here and other forums were wax lyrical about him. It was only the Scum game at home that springs to mind where he looked half decent. Well at least they won't need to give Villa 15m for that chump.

The sooner Gino is divorced from signing players and leaves it to someone who knows what they are doing the better. Namely Ubenga. You never saw Bloom for instance tell Potter this is who I am signing. Let the scouts and professionals get on with it. Gino has been absolutely clueless.

You probably see Todd Boehly tell Potter who they're signing!

I don't think enough was made at the time about Boehly naming himself Interim Sporting Director as he shadowed the recruitment team to learn about how recruitment works in football. One of the most egotistical things I've seen an owner do. Wanting to shadow the staff that you're giving hundreds of millions of pounds to whilst wanting to learn the industry I would normally admire in an owner, but giving yourself the big man title when in reality you're doing similar (if not less) than the university intern on placement is just hilarious.

Does next to nothing outside of his goals, although his per 90 stats must be through the roof lol. Even so, his goals seem like accidents, and sadly they haven't proven as useful as Bayo's

Huh? It was a good strike yesterday.

Keeper could have done better, if Bachmann had been beaten like that we'd have been castigating him

A reasonably powerful strike on target is not really an "accident" though.

It was a good powerful shot but most keepers would have saved it. Vaclik looked a like really poor keeper.

With that goal, Britt was in acres of space, but he still took a heavy touch which too him wider than he should have gone, making the chance a lot harder from himself.

He’s a useful player though, but should only be playing if there’s an injury crisis. For me, he’s in the Fletcher, Manaj bracket. Can do a job, but you rather he’s not needed.

The commentator mentioned he used to play for Sevilla, but I was shocked to see he was a regular for them, even if he's a few years older now

Its a shame he didn't score it off the bench in his first game back, instead we have been use to seeing him lumbering around with a sack of potatoes on his back with all chippys closed!

He looked a bit fitter yesterday though.
