Someone in the club is going rogue with signings I guess.
As long as we do bring a cm and a winger then I don’t mind it as he’s defo better than bayo and manaj.
Also with Slav mentioning changing to a 2 up top, another striker is important I feel and maybe makes a winger less crucial

 

Would be happy with this as we could sing his name to this banging tune.

 

If it means Bayo is leaving then this has my full backing.

 

Not clear to me he’s better than Bayo and if we are to sign a new striker it should be someone who could start next season.

He’s scored a lot of goals at this level and the focus appears to be very much on going up this season. Bayo is piss poor and if signing assombalonga means he’s nowhere near the match day squad I’m all for it. Also be homegrown and a permanent signing.

 

Not very impressive at Boro in 19/20 or 20/21. Really just a poacher and Bayo has a better minutes/goals ratio than Assombalonga in either of those seasons. No spring chicken either. Uninspiring.

I agree with you but there’s no way he gets a 4.5 year deal. 2.5 Id expect.

 

I agree it’s uninspiring but he’s not going to be coming in as a starter with Araujo and Davis here. If he can pop up with a few crucial goals off the bench then think it might turn out ok.
Will be interesting to see contract length for sure and I hope it doesn’t hinder any chances of signing players that Bilic wants

 

I think the fact he’s homegrown plays a big part as we’re gonna need homegrown players on the bench with the rule of 11

 

It's like people haven't watched Bayo before. He's not responsible for the disgraceful transfer deal but he is responsible for his terrible footballing ability. He's utter gash. Actually it wouldn't surprise me if the club are trying to get him out of the club before Mogi has to face the music in a few months.

Makes sense as a loan for cover to the end of the season. Would be bonkers as a permanent signing.

Agreed. But he has 1.5 now in Turkey so he’d be crazy to sign any less than that.

Bayo looks like he has 2 left feet, genuinely can’t see what anyone sees in him. Can’t even control a ball.

Summed up perfectly. Bayo genuinely takes 3 or 4 touches to get it under control, it's hilarious watching him try to make first time passes.

It really is time you drop the Bayo thing - I have all the time for you as you know. But you did your best to provide reasoning for his signing when it was made - and he’s proved to be crap. He’s let you down.
