Hanson Auction so anything is possible. Even a profit for Cooper.

He has 165 to spunk-up-the-wall on his BB.

Let's see what Hanson can do with the tat.

40 notes for a lump of concrete.

Cooper with a sensible BB shock.

    BBC approved preamble:
    Oswestry 4
    Bargain Hunt Series 58
    https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m000typb
Today’s teams are hunting for treasures at the Oswestry Showground with Natasha Raskin Sharp and experts Ben Cooper and Kate Bliss. Before we see their items go under the hammer, Charles Hanson auctions off a rare Chinese treasure that was discovered in a carrier bag on its way to a charity shop.

    The Translation:
Today's Strict Natasha pre-credits sequence is thin gruel indeed centring on Bishton Hall, site of Hanson's well-heeled Auction Rooms. Today's first expert continues the trend of scant nutrition with Carloss Wispa, arguably the worst expert, and thicker porridge with golden syrup in the form of Trilly Bliss in her tight dress, not too much syrup Trills. Obviously, the Auction will be in the grounds with the Dreamblazer himself as he whips his well-moneyed audience into a frenzy, shaking them down to the last penny.

    The Staff:
[Gaffer] Strict Natasha Raskin Sharp, a Southside girl, break the rules and get a Glasgow kiss
[Red Team Expert] Ben Clot Tragicooper, Carloss Wispa
[Blue Team Expert] Posh Kate Shrilly Trilly Bliss, today's No 6, be seeing you
[Auctioneer] Charles Hanson, The Phineas T Barnum of the Auction World, Bring on The Clown
[Auction Location] Hanson Auction House, Bishton Hall, Staffs
    (Miserlin Rating: Unlisted)

    Start.jpeg Auction.jpeg

    The Teams:
[Red Team] Retired married couple, he likes old stuff, she likes more modern. No excitement here.
(Challenge: Made from cast or mould)
[Blue Team] Married middle-aged couple (BAME half-ticked) who met online. Swingers?
    (Challenge: Found in a study)

    The Shopping:
Reds: Moulded concrete garden bird bath tat (30) good, Pair of Sheffield silver and copper bottle coasters (75) ouch, WWII Military trunk (30) profit says Hanson.
Blues: Silver fruit knife and fork (80) may struggle, Trench art inkwell (45 Challenge) topend, Royal Doulton George V coronation cup (8) OK.

    The Distraction:
The Dreamblazer is set to Auction off a mystery meat Chinese takeaway carrier bag which is now full to the brim of some discarded paper Gentlemen's literature found in a bush near the canal. These are excellent examples of late 20th Century Scuddery featuring ladies with bizarre hairstyles being serviced by men with no standing. As Strict Natasha observes, they're no more elevated then the westpoint of Dumfries or Galloway. In BH terms, it's a disappointing Hi Kick in the trouser area. Originally, the bag contained an old Chinese ewer which was chucked straight into the skip.

    Distraction.jpeg

    The Auction:
Reds: Moulded concrete garden bird bath tat (profit), Pair of Sheffield silver and copper bottle coasters (loss), WWII Military trunk (evens stevens).
    Cooper's BB is a 1898 silver photo frame (35), 30-50, 50. Amazing. Copper makes a profit. 2 huge pounds.

    Coasters.jpeg PhotoFrame.jpeg

Blues: Silver fruit knife and fork (small profit), Trench art inkwell (small loss), Royal Doulton George V coronation cup (2 squid profit).
Trilly's BB is an Edwardian treen tape measure (22), 20-30, 38. Nice profit on a nice item Trills.

    KnifeAndFork.jpeg TapeMeasure.jpeg

    The Aftermath:
Outdoors Hanson Bishton Hall Auction. You can smell the money. He's in his element and in his Dreamblazer. Hold the front page Cooper's Reds make a 10 overall profit. Mind, every pound was squeezed out of the Audience by Hanson. Trilly's Blues made a small but slightly bigger profit than Tragicooper. Even with an overall profit he still looses.

    RedWin.jpeg BlueWin.jpeg

    The Hi-Kick:
Outdoor Covid diagonal kick on uneven grass. A decent well coordinated effort. Yes, YES!!

Christina Trevanion heads to Leominster in Herefordshire for today’s Bargain Hunt. With the expert help of Kate Bliss and Ochuko Ojiri, the red and blue teams battle it out in the Secondhand Warehouse and Antiques Centre to see who can buy the most profitable three items to take to auction. Christina also learns about tribal art as she looks at boomerangs, beaded bags and African masks.

    The Translation:
The lovely fragrant Christina is in Leominister/Leminster, famous for once being satirised in an episode of the much lamented late Victor Lewis-Smith's Ads Infinitum. The location is at the excitingly named Secondhand Warehouse and Antiques Centre which really screams high quality items for the well-heeled and not the usual careworn tat and jumble of an indoor flytip. Joining the gorgeous one are the well-healed Trilly Bliss and ready for action Commando Chuko, dressed ready for covert, bridge-blowing operations. Don't think that will go down in sleepy Leminster. Auction is with Treepants Weeks and his Desperado quiff. Portents are good.

    The Staff:
[Gaffer] Steamstress Christina Trevanion, she sets the heat controller to 11
[Red Team Expert] Posh Kate Shrilly Trilly Bliss, the tighter her dress, the shriller she gets
[Blue Team Expert] Ochuko Commando Chuko Ojiri, commando on top, let's hope he's not commando below
    [Auctioneer] Timpole Tudor Wunderbar Weeks
[Auction Location] Wessex Auction Rooms, Chippenham
    (Miserlin Rating: Unlisted)

    Start.jpeg Auction.jpeg

    The Teams:
[Red Team] Married beardy planner and admin
    (Challenge: Form of an animal)
[Blue Team] Retired married couple, he used to work in the jewellery quarter
    (Challenge: Found on a desk)

    The Shopping:
Reds: Japanese monkey and piggy Netsuke boxwood toggle (35 Challenge) OK, Birmingham silver and blue enamel topped glass scent bottle (75) solid buy, Steiff Walrus cuddly toy (45) topend.
Blues: Crappy Art Deco desk lamp (99 Challenge) OK, Desk inkwell (18 Challenge) good, 1930s felt monkey (28) topend.

    The Distraction:
The Angel with a Dirty Face (and Laugh) learns learns about tribal art as she looks at booming wangs, ballded bags and handles African ivory totems. Sam Angry Maiden shows her plenty of wood and magnificent tools.

    Distraction.jpeg

    The Auction:
Reds: Japanese monkey and piggy Netsuke boxwood toggle (small loss), Birmingham silver and blue enamel topped glass scent bottle (nice profit), Steiff Walrus cuddly toy (loss).
Trilly's BB is a David Andersen Norwegian enamel brooch (80), 80-120, 240. Superb find Trills. 160 note profit. Excellent.

    ScentBottle.jpeg ScandiBrooch.jpeg

Blues: Crappy Art Deco desk lamp (large profit), Desk inkwell (small loss), 1930s felt monkey (loss).
Chuko's BB is a bin rescued Tin trunk (10), 10-20, 20. A tenner profit for a real piece of rubbish.

    ArtDecoLamp.jpeg TinTrunk.jpeg

    The Aftermath:
Decent Auction with Weeks. Big items sold really well and made great profits while the small items made losses. Bin rescued BB makes a small profit for the Blues contrast with Trilly's find of a superb stylish brooch which went for 240 notes, a 160 GBP profit. So both teams make overall profits with the Blues making an excellent 3-figure sum. We also learn that naughty minx Christina loves a cheeky monkey.

    RedWin.jpeg BlueWin.jpeg

    The Hi-Kick:
Outdoor Covid diagonal kick on uneven grass. Looks like it's in someone's back garden. Decent kick. Decent coordination. Tidy hostess. Yes, YES!!
