I took a new girlfriend to the Wrexham game and sat in the Shrodells stand near the front. When we won I was off on to the pitch and came back to get her about 10 minutes later. Strangely there wasn't a 2nd date.
I was at the game with my dad but was a bit young for the drunken celebrations. That was a seriously good side
My main memory of that night (apart from the game) was failing to get served celebratory beers afterwards at a pub in Bushey Heath - The Three Crowns I think. It was just after last orders it’s true, but the bar staff didn’t seem to understand the enormity of the situation.
Was in the rookery. Was only 12 so missed out and the drunken buffoonery. That was saved until the season after on the awayday specials
