An update before tonight's game. I am amazed that we got through the recent run and stayed out of the relegation zone. We have four games Brentford (A), Burnley (A), Crystal Palace (H) and Wolves (A), to complete the first half of the season and we need seven points minimum to be on 20 points. This mean two wins and a draw minimum, do you think that's possible given three of them are away from home?
The stats don't lie, its looking pretty dire and we need a quick turnaround in form as at least one of the teams below us will go on a good run.
What worries me most from those excellent stats is that we've never won the 19th match of any premier League season.
Here is stat for you. Since the Pozzos arrived we have spent more years in the premier league than; Nottingham Forest Sheffield Wednesday Derby Sunderland Middlesbrough Blackburn Charlton Sheffield United Birmingham City Coventry City Norwich City The list goes on. But we are the laughing stock of English football. Yes I would much rather be a lower mid table Chanpionship club or league one club or on the brink or liquidation or be homeless and rent our stadium of the local rugby club. This is not me glorifying Scott and Gino Pozzo, I have just been listening to TalkSport and thought some Watford fans need some perspective. In fact I have even seen fans from some of the clubs above say we are the laughing stock of the game but they would swap positions in a heart beat if they could!
An update before two very difficult away games, after which the situation could look very serious. Two pints wouldn't be a catastrophe, four would be better and six would be fantastic (nee impossible)!!
This gets more depressing everytime I produce the stats! All I can see is a long painful and slow death to the season. So I have come to terms with relegation, accepted the outcome and its doesn't seem so bad.
Thanks for keeping it up under the circumstances. Basically we’re no better than Aidy’s championship team, and it all went **** up after game 12.
As a fully paid up COG and borderline happy clapper I declare the facts stated in this thread fake news .
Great work as always. Our only way out is to have our best ever finish to a PL season, which will definitely need several clean sheets. It is still possible, but based on our performances so far very difficult (unlikely).
I'm sorry to say that due to other commitments I won't be able to produce stats for next season. It's a shame that I have had to capture such a sh1t season of results and statistics!
