You have to of been a good boy for a long long time, so that counts you out.

 

Fair play to him, he went back to his plumbing job today. Seems like a decent bloke who deserves some luck.

 

Bugger that, he's a plumber!

Ring him up, he'll quote you £90.

He'll turn up, do a half hours work and then charge you £210 'cos there were a flange dimiter in the half pipe mate'.

 

Plumber, winning a life changing sum of money, not changing his life. Fair play.

 

Come on at least give him a few weeks.

 

Drinks are on him if I happen to see him around anywhere in Exeter

Still, credit to him, not letting it change his attitude and lifestyle.

 

What's the point of winning it then?

 

I would of bought a second hand yacht by now.

 

The money's there if he needs it, or wants to treat himself or change his lifestyle in the future. He'll enjoy a nice retirement on that.

 

He doesn't need 1.4m for that. People who have windfalls like this should be obligated to splurge at least half of it on fast cars, yachts and luxuries.

 

700,000 GBP would just about cover the dinghy let alone a yacht.

 

There must be a Lidl type yacht place.

 

Hence the reference to "treating himself" to something.

There's a lot you can do with £1.45m, maybe he just needs time to consider what car and yacht he wants...
