They decided they couldn't have a Ryder Cup without Ian Poulter

Sold their soul to the devil.

This quote sums up how I feel:

Former BMW PGA Championship winner Ben An said: "I'm guessing the LIV teams were struggling to get sponsors and PGA Tour couldn't turn down the money. Win-win for both tours but it's a big lose for who defended the tour for last two years."

Whilst I look forward to seeing all the best golfers at the big tournaments again, they're now taking Saudi money. Morals out of the window.
I am however genuinely happy not to have see Greg Normans gurning face telling us how much good they're doing. c***.

I love golf but there’s no denying it’s a boring sport to watch. I’ll tune in for the last couple of days of a major but the events in between I’ll probably have a quick glance if nothing else is on and see which players have decided to turn up for it.

However, I watched one or two of the LIV events and there’s no doubt their team format made it more interesting. Shotgun starts with a constantly changing league position and music/silly sound affects was far easier on the eye.

I don’t like the idea of Saudis and other oil states taking over all sport, but there’s definitely a case to make some sports more enjoyable ro watch

Golf’s not really my thing, although I sometimes watch the last 9 holes of a major, but it seems it’s now not enough to simply appreciate the skill of players any more. Similarly the ever shortening formats of cricket like The Hundred and even 10 over matches now.

For me they've not gone far enough.

    I'd decimilise golf.

10 par 10 holes over 10 miles total. With a 10 minute per hole time limit.

Keep it to yards and miles, I' m not a complete monster.

Which version of the Golf is this? The Mk1's a classic these days.
