Thought he had a really solid cameo tonight, looking forward to seeing him in the first XI going forward
Well luckily we didn't need him to do much marauding tonight then! Supposedly FGR's wide CBs had a similar role to classic FBs, so maybe that RCB role is where he will play, hopefully we get Laird in quickly enough!
Encouraging that he seemed aquatinted with the round thing that most of the team didn't get on with! We'll soon thrash that out of him!
Terrible. Looks like he's running in treacle and he seems to have lost any technical ability he once had.
I'm sure he was putting absolutely everything into this meaningless game, and it's definitely a good representation of him as a player, and how he'll do this season.
If we were playing a back 4, I'm sure he'd look decent at RB, as it is, we'll probably see Kamara back at RWB for the weekend and not be any worse for it...
Got to be honest, I’m very disappointed in what I’ve seen of him. He has been a much better player than this. He’s not what we need. A poor signing. We need a pacy wingback. A massive downgrade from what we had with Kiko.
Wowzers. Quite painful to see how unsuitable he is. To think Villarreal made this bloke captain at one point!
It wasn't clear on the video, and the match commentators said it was Gaspar (which at first glance would have made sense as the pass came from the right back position). But it does seem JP has been credited with the assist, so fair enough. Gaspar is crap then. Let the conversation continue.
JP most definitely set up the first goal. He's a weak link, no wonder he hadn't played much football in Spain before he came. Liars looked by far the better of the two which makes the decesion even harder to swallow.
If we are going to a back 4 then I seriously hope Ngakia starts over this dud. Yet again most Watford fans called it correctly, Gaspar, Bayo and Manaj all duff and not good enough for a top 6 finish.
Ngakia was injured, not sure when he's fully fit. I actually thought Ngakia was decent for us under Ivic, but considering an out of position Kamara was preferred to him in pre-season, I don't think the signs for him are good, unless he was also injured then
It’s mental that we’ve got this dud on the same side as our best player, yet more completely incoherent thinking from the club.
How did he play when he got on? If Kamara is out for the next game (which is no guarantee as I definitely would have thought Sema would have been out for today), it looks like Gaspar will start as I'd be surprised if Ngakia goes from out of the squad to the starting XI
He did nothing and looked like he was running in treacle. JP drifted to the right side after he came on presumably because Edwards knew we'd have no threat otherwise.
