Last man standing usually requires a full list of Premier League games before it can take place. Next weekend is FA Cup weekend so it would normally be postponed until the following week. However, due to there being 2 x all Prem FA Cup matches it means there will still be 7 games to choose from, (if we include the two cup games) I'm undecided as to whether we should run it or wait until the following week, so I'm running a poll. Poll closes Tuesday midday-ish.
yes, go for it. With the number of players we might have trouble getting a winner before the end of the season otherwise.
Only if you're going to take the result over 90 minutes, otherwise people picking teams in the FA Cup will have a massive advantage, because there can't be any draws.
I don’t mind too much either way. But it’s probably more fair to give everyone the full set of fixtures as some next week may have less choice now than others.
Yep, I'm anxious to spend my Amazon gift voucher for winning, I don't want to have to wait an extra week before getting it.
After reading the above comments I'm leaning towards not running it. The following weekend is international weekend so it'll be 2 weeks off. Not 100% decided yet but will be by tomorrow.
Think you shd include this weekend before players switch off and are mentally on the beach Tbh I’m easy either way and Thankyou for all the work.
Think there will be plenty of PL weeks to go to get a winner. It's about 35% lost in only 2 weeks and will get more difficult each round of matches due to previous picks. It's your comp so you decide, if you think it needs this extra week then go for it.
So on reflection the contest needs to be fair to everyone from the start. Using an FA Cup weekend could penalise some players depending on past choices so the common sense decision is no competition until there is a full Premier League list of games to choose from. All comments above are appreciated. Unfortunately round 3 will be almost 3 weeks away, but to give you a head start this is a list of fixtures, (please don't go posting a team as I'll just ignore them): Saturday 30th March Fulham v Manchester City Brighton and Hove Albion v Southampton Burnley v Wolverhampton Wanderers Crystal Palace v Huddersfield Town Leicester City v Bournemouth Manchester United v Watford West Ham United v Everton Sunday 31st March Cardiff City v Chelsea Liverpool v Tottenham Hotspur Monday 1st April Arsenal v Newcastle United
Diamond, we are, of course, all anonymous on here but your thought process prompts a question. Are you the MP for Maidenhead?
