King Ken would be better deployed as a ball winning midfielder with licence to get forward. He has high stats for turnovers and he is more built for the role than tricky winger in my eyes.
Horrendous. Do they have these stat wheels for Championship players? Would be interested to see his from the promotion season
Quite literally a nothing season wasn't it. Sounds crazy but at the time I thought Hodgson kept throwing him on purely because they both spoke Swedish lol!
Truly one of the least talented wingers I've ever witnessed. He has an incredible gift of giving himself the least amount of space to utilise his non existent dribbling ability. A wonder of modern football that he's managed 50+ top flight games
Edwards got slack on the Shoutbox for keeping him on and taking Kamara off, on the face of it, it didn't seem the obvious choice, but in fairness, anyone in the division would have had a hard night tonight, and Kamara certainly isn't the best defender
Agreed. We all want Kamara starting on the left - but he was having a stinker on the right and that doesn’t just disappear after 75 mins. Whereas Sema didn’t play well but was doubled up on time and time again and got zero support. Can’t see how Kamara being over there would’ve changed that in the dying moments. The change had to be made at HT (or from the start!). Also, *ducks for cover*, I thought Kamara’s reaction to coming off was pretty petulant.
One of the worst players I have seen play for us in the last 25 years. Offers nothing. Dreadful player. Extraordinary that Edwards thinks that playing him at left back with Kamara out of place is better than playing Kamara in his best position and Ngakia at right back......
Wouldn't be in my ideal eleven and will hopefully revert to a squad player soon but he's done fine in the first two games. It's hardly his fault he had Wallace and Furlong to deal with all night long with very little help. The few times he was one on one with Wallace thought he actually defenced pretty well.
Much maligned but has gone back to his ungainly but effective self at this level. 2 assists and a goal in 6 games, while always being the hardest worker on the pitch. Keep it up, Kenneth
What was his injury like? Thought he was alright, preferred Kamara on that side, although naturally it means Gaspar on the other
Limped heavily around the pitch afterwards. Looks like a 2-3 weeker. He also needs to have a good look at himself for walking instead of tracking his man.
I feel a bit bad for Ken . If we had signed him back in our championship days he’d have been a full On fabs favourite with his work rate and end product . Unfortunately because of his ineffectiveness at premier league level people give him a hard time , but his contribution has once again been significant and I’m sure will continue to be if he stays fit .
Far too slow and cumbersome for the top level, but it’s hard to deny he’s a mighty effective Championship player.
Another side effect of the sweet sweet nectar Pozzo has delivered in the last decade. We've been spoilt with the mercurial talent of Deulofeu, Capoue, Pereyra. Fans have forgotten the simple pleasures of a limited workhorse who plays with a smile on his face and gets the job done in an ungainly but loveable fashion.
How did he play? I heard he put in a good ball for the second, I wonder if he's extra motivated to try to keep his place in the team now that Martins is coming
