Age is irrelevant so far as I can see.

Got it bad when I was a kid, largely went away in my 20s and 30s, came back with a vengeance in my mid 40s. Same with asthma.

I might try the Allevia, thanks @Filbert.

I haven't ever watched it but it does sound quite watchable compared to other reality/chat shows, the Apprentice and some music contests aside.

Thought I had got away with it this year but the last week or so has been hell on earth. Cetirizine and loratadine just don't cut it really, especially loratadine which does **** all for me. Cetirizine is a bit better but I have to have at least two, sometimes three to do the bare minimum.

Was going to give the docs a call but will give Allevia a go.

CB please dont take more than the recommended dose of Cetirizine, taking more than the recommended dose is linked to cardiac arrhythmia - that's not good. Same with Loratidine and Fexofenadine
If it's a runny nose you are getting a nasal spray may be your best bet. Please seek medical advice

Allevia is the way to go on the pills but I found that its effects wore off after a couple of weeks.

Nasal sprays are apparently the most effective treatment (other than the jab) but that’s only if you can handle squirting something up your already irritated nose. I’d tried Piriteze spray but would just immediately sneeze it back out. I’m on a non steroid one now that is far more gentle.

    A couple of pieces of advice that I’d scoffed at but do work;

If you’ve been for a walk or out and about all day then get changed as soon as you get home and immediately wash the clothes you’d been wearing.

Have a shower right before bed and wash your hair. My routine was always to get home, have a shower then take the dog out for a walk later on. You just end up with a load of pollen in your hair that you rub off onto your pillow and wake up feeling like ****!

You mean ‘never exceed the stated dose’ isn’t just there for the lols?

Liaten doc, if these guys survived a couple doses of Bill Gates covid vaccine that was engineered to turn them into all sorts of undesirable things, I reckon they can handle a little extra of the ol’ Cetirizine without you needing to get concerned.

Hay fever sounds far worse than I imagined - I guess it’s like with flu, only once you get it do you realise it’s more than just a bout of sneezing and runny eyes.

It’s utterly debilitating while it lasts, but few non-sufferers take it seriously.

I don't actually believe hayfever exists. It's a phantom condition for weak people.

And some non-sufferers can claim to have to have hay fever when really they don’t, just as people mistake a bad cold or a minor fever for flu.

There’s supposed to be more hayfever these days and yet there are fewer horses and therefore less hay. I call that SuSpIcIoUS.

Linked In. Used to be a great way of keeping track of former work colleagues. Has become like facebook, a way to impress connections with your achievements, plus a route to push out corporate messaging. Fed up reading company marketing emails instructing staff to "like" particular company posts or share with all our connections. I'm not boring the pants of people I used to work with by sharing a story that we presented at a particular trade fair that's of no relevance to any of them.

As soon as advertising and corporate get hold of something, it is very swiftly destroyed.

People on the likes of Facebook haven't realised that they are being used as free marketing tools.

LinkedIn should be really good. Huge first movers advantage with nearly all professionals on. They must have a huge amount of data and massive opportunities to make recruitment, job searching and skill-development really easy.

But their user interface and design is rubbish and there is nothing to keep you there. What a waste.

Got a thicket of it on my right ear all of a sudden after having a lot of it on the other one a week or so ago.

The great temptation is to pull it all out especially when I don't have a pair of tweezers or electric razor with me right now, but then it can hurt quite a bit and cause slight bleeding - I picked off a couple of scabs on my other ear today that resulted from doing just that.

I get it either on my ear lobes, or more commonly and more annoyingly at the front of my ears just above the bottom.
