Don't think he is going to be first choice, but has a better end product than Amrabat, but probably not a better all round game.

Need some sort of hybrid of the two really. Amrabat on his day has the physicality and pace to get into excellent positions but rarely does anything productive once there. Berghuis looked more dangerous putting the ball into the box at the end of last season but rarely got in a position to do it as he easily brushed off of the ball.

    Agreed.

    Amrahuis or Bergbat?

I prefer Bergbat as I've always liked Jersey and John Nettles!

Feyenoord currently 2-0 up in a game that will win them the league

Fair to say for his career, he done the right thing moving there then! He wouldn't have got a sniff with the system we play unfortunately. I am sure he will leave permanently now, we will most likely get most of the fee back and I hope he goes onto more success.

I hope he does not leave, but if he wants to go I don't think we should let him go for any less than we paid for him! Therefore if another team wants him they should pay up or shut up!

Fair to say the Dutch league is crap and he's probably found his level.

It's better than the Scottish league, but probably not by much. Having said that I'd love to see him back though.

Top teams in Dutch league aren't too shabby. To compare Ajax to Celtic for example is just ridiculous. Celtic are more at Norwich's level

There was quite a good article in the month's on the Dutch league in WSC which mentioned that Berghuis is very, very happy in Holland and is much loved by Het Legioen.

We easily filled our 17 places for Overseas players last year and look like we will do it again this year. Insisting he stays means that we have to sacrifice someone else instead - who ?

If they can't afford €6mil for CL team they are having a laugh. If they really can't afford it then I would suggest they give us Kongolo or Vilhena and we will give them Berghuis and €4mil in return.

Behrami is off, Djedje wasn't in the overseas 17 but nor was Pereyra who we have to find a space for.

Capoue I can see staying, so that leaves one space. As we need another left back, CB and stiker I can't see him fitting in

If Capoue stays I'm going .

I've told Gino it's either me or him .

All gone quiet on the Capoue transfer front yeah ? That's because Ginos torn up about it , doesn't know which way to go .

Well I'm standing my ground girlfriend !

See the link above, they must pay up or shut up regardless of what Berghuis might want, we should not let him go on the cheap.

Therefore if they still want him, but have not got enough cash they will just have to do what Markoa$ suggests to make up the difference.

I have no doubt he has the talent and I would expect Silva to utilise him better so really it's up to SB to buckle down in training and get on with his career, in brickie terms it's called finishing one job before starting another. If they want him on the cheap Feyenoord can call again when his contract runs down

Christ, that is moist... "Ohhh come back Steven, we love you soooo much!!!"... Truly embarrassing

If you want Berghuis, spam your own owners and not Watford's media team; of which only posts pictures that they've taken of the squad during the day lol. Also, if you really wanted him, you would make a decent offer!

It's a shame as he seemed like he could be a good player, but if he wants out it's best to get him out as soon as possible, no point holding someone who doesn't want to be here. Not sure why so many are bothered about the price, it's not like it's going to make the world of difference to who we buy and don't buy over the Summer, and it's not like you'll see a penny of it yourself. There will be add-on's and I wouldn't be surprised to see some Dutch youth players joining the Pozzo set up over the next season or two to sweeten the deal.

A Feyenoord fan account on instgram basically posted telling all Feyenoord fans to do it. It seems to be the theme of the summer.

Besiktas fans have been doing it Diego Costa...

Can we not retaliate? Spam their social media calling David Connolly a short greedy ******* or something?

    I'd instigate, but I don't use Instagraph

Starting for his country in the world cup.

We left him on the bench for a season. Incredible, really.
