This may have been given some thought already as I am new to the forum.
It occurred to me that the pre season for top clubs can be a good earner so why
not take full advantage and keep it in the Pozzo family.
Maybe a four team tournament involving us, Udinese, Granada and a invited team from the top
    league elsewhere.
It could be held at each of the Pozzo home clubs shared year on year encouraging supporters
to travel and share the joy.
The Pozzos get it televised and invest any profits in the football business.

Just a idea,I cannot see any downsides

Already been suggested on here many many times before, still not sure why they haven't done it. Admittedly it wouldn't have bought much income from TV before now, but if we can build on what we've done this year then I can't see any reason why it wouldn't be successful.

Great idea, except when Granada fans attack us for taking all their players.

Would the Pozzo cup itself be a plate with Giampaulos face moulded into it?

As long as it's played at Granada or Udinese then I'm up for it.

As said above, it was suggested already here. I agree with you it would be a brilliant idea and it's almost strange it was not done so far, particularly when WFC came for pre-seasons in Italy.
Now that all the three teams are in top tier (and hopefully will remain all there: good luck to Granada!) and Udinese has a new stadium, it would really be the right time next pre-season for this.

Wasn't it less than 5,000 turn up for the friendly with Granada?

Might be a silly thought but wonder if the pozzos have aspirations of Europe for both us and Udinese an annual Pozzo tournament wouldn't do much for the notion that they are two separate clubs?

Not that that's my train of thought, but what someone at UEFA might think.

Much as it sounds a good idea would it bring much profit? They'd be paying costs for both teams - at least when the teams play elsewhere they are taking another teams slice of the pie (not that I imagine there is much profit in pre season...)

think your right although it was at a time when our average gate was just above 11k so that attendance for a friendly wasnt too bad .

edit thought it was further back than 2013 my apologies

Do pre-season games often (or ever) make a profit?
