Steve Crossman and Emma Saunders will join Mark Chapman in fronting 5 Live's coverage, with co-commentary coming from former England internationals Karen Carney and Chris Waddle. Pat Nevin, Erin Cuthbert and Charlie Adam will focus on Scotland, while Nathan Blake and James Collins will be at the heart of the Wales coverage.

Good on her. She's certainly far better than many of the more established talking heads.

I've always been surprised that Jon Marks hasn't been tapped up for more prominent commentary. He's really very good.

She's miles better than Jake Humphrey, the modern day Alan Partridge. So, on the basis he is fronting up a load of prime tv BT Sport coverage, I'd say Emma should go far!

WFC coverage without Emma is like a tree without blossoms or fruit. But, it is better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all.

Farewell sweet rose, we will always treasure the precious memory of the hive live end of season award show. What a night that was, forever etched in our hearts.

Never bought into the hype but she's absolutely perfect for the BBC. Harmless, monotone, toes the company line and fills the gaps with utter banality. She'll be presenting the Come Dancing Extra programme in no time.

But in a seriousness, good luck to her. I know our older male fans salivated over her but I could never quite see past the fact she looks like a young Theresa May.

She was the announcer at many of the last World Cup matches including the final, with that sort of pedigree it’s surprising it’s taken her so long to be given “ proper “ jobs!

Does this mean she is leaving us, or will she continue to work with us as well, anyone know?

She’s been working for the BBC for several years, including summer tournaments and presenting 606. She was at the cup final last weekend…

Peter Drury is also a Watford fan. No wonder he found it hard to contain his emotion when we beat Liverpool 3-0.

Congratulations to Emma. She's a perfect fit and more than competent. I hope Mark Chapman gets to do more presenting as well.
