It has to be a good signing, and with minimal risk (so long as his health is ok). The fact that City actually made a move for him, before backing out, surely must demonstrate he has potential to do well in the Premier League. It's now down to the lad as he obviously has the potential talent - has he got the mindset?

    Best of luck Kwadwo

My Rochdale supporting mate is very upset about this.....which is a positive;)

Tbh I think the whole poaching of young talent from small clubs by rich clubs needs looking at.

Rochdale are in serious financial trouble (possibly terminal) according to my mate. I'm glad we appear to have paid more than "we had to" but does it reflect the true value of the player and properly reward Rochdale for their investment in his development?

Don't think he has been in the England U21 squad yet.

I presume there are performance-based payments and almost certainly a sell-on clause too in the deal.

Rochdale only had him for 2 years so I don't think they would have been expecting anything substantial for him.

    Is he the next Willmott?

Or likely to be here long term.

Seen some stuff in the media indicating that we want to have a look at him until January and then assess who we want to send him on loan to. Not sure what he'll be doing until then (other than playing in the Carabao Cup), but dare I say that might be a sensible move as we've struggled to find sensible loan moves for a lot of our domestic lads

Give him half the season watching Sarr and see where he's at in January. You never know, he might surprise everyone and develop quicker than expected.

When it comes to younger signings under Pozzo there's almost no evidence to support that presumption.

L1 is a good level for development. Better than Wealdstone which is too low for all but our Under18s.

Gives us a new team to keep an eye on and they develop together. Win-win.

Looks like he will be staying until January at least unless a late deal happens.

I assumed he would go out on loan.

Looking forward to seeing him against Stoke.

In the highlights I mean, I'm not going to the game.

Surprised how physical he seems to be. Uses his body really well. Don’t expect him to start tonight having played for the U23s on Friday but maybe a sub appearance?

You'd think with us giving him the big build-up that we'll give him a go, but it doesn't always work like that for us!

He certainly looks like a decent prospect: fast, strong, not afraid to take on his man (or multiple), capable of fighting through challenges, puts the ball into dangerous areas. Hopefully he continues to develop what looks to be a strong base.

If you can handle the physical side of the game at 18 then there's plenty of time to fine tune other aspects of his game. Could be a real player.

Shame he wasn’t brought on. It’s not like Sema offered anything.

Why is he still here, he could be ripping up League 1 at the moment rather than kicking his heels not even getting into our cup teams

It's straight out of the Wilmot playbook, isn't it? We have to maintain a pretence of him being an actual member of the first team squad for a bit off the bat, having sold him on that to get him to come here - it's only next season when he hasn't played a single minute that we can bust him back down a couple of divisions on loan.

Should have played instead of Sema. He has something about him. Would like to see it unleashed in at least the League Cup.

Congrats to Kwadwo. Not a bad position to be in having to choose between Germany and England.

It's kind of crazy how many of these attacking youthers are eligible for both England and Germany, like some kind of cosmic humour - amongst Musiala, the Nmechas, and now Baah, who is safe?

It's also interesting that they were all raised in England, yet in several cases chose the Allemandes...

It is interesting, isn't it? Suspect it's something to do with the sheer quantity of quality young English players, Musiala was wanted by England, but I wonder how highly thought of Baah and the Nmechas are by England
