    Sarr in a nutshell!

Capable of the sublime when he wants to and utterly shocking most of the time!

Hence he will still be a Watford player come May.

Just incredible, gone from that goal right at the start to everyone slagging him off in the end!

Yep. At the end of the season when he's scored 11 goals and got 4 assists, his defenders will be all like "but his wonder goal," as we prepare for another season in the Champ with a 35m pound dud.

Yes, regardless of all that happened tonight, Dennis is still far more likely to leave isn't he? What do we do if September rolls around and it's Sarr and JP (plus Manaj and Bayo)?

Too erratic and too negative with the ball at his feet too often. Can do something amazing like the goal and good work like winning the penalty, but then takes the penalty horrendously and lazily and simply refuses to use his pace and go at his man about 90% of the time, instead taking the easy, negative option.

Either we lower the asking price to £15-20m or he's going to be here for the season.

In an ideal world, I'd sell him and keep Dennis (who was equally anonymous tonight!), but what if Dennis goes? Sarr is absolutely infuriating, but he naturally produces more moments in the Championship than the Prem

Certainly not going to post this in the transfer section as we've had enough transfer related stress today, but it's becoming possible that Sarr could be the last of our big name forwards to stay...

Yes, probably! I don't think Sarr is enjoying these JP rumours, with Dennis and the rest gone we're in a strong enough position to not take rubbish offers for Sarr now, if JP joins them out the door surely we say no to any Sarr offers

What is probably in our favour is that Sarr is likely getting paid quite handsomely to be here. Probably not a big deal to him if he stays

Losing Dennis, Sarr and JP would be brutal. Especially as the replacements will be gash.

Can we pick up Cameron Archer and Kortney Hause along the way, @Villa101? ;)

As Edwards don't like to play with wingers, why not try Sarr at RWB, if it works it my just solve our problem in that position?

Like your thinking. We don't have a ball playing centre back either, maybe we should drop Pedro back in there?

    Nah! That wouldn't work :D

However in all seriousness I don't think Sarr's talents would be wasted in that position. After all he would still be able to terrorise the opposition with his pace whilst attacking and would be quick enough to get back for his defensive duties. In fact he does not do a bad job of tracking back now and can already do a reasonable job of defensively, plus he also has the engine for the job IMO.

I agree. I think it would actually make a lot more sense for him to play deeper as he has more of the pitch to use his pace.

I don't see how it's that mad. In the modern game there's not really much separating a winger from a wing back.

Sarr has never really consistently shone in any attacking position, and wing back would actually allow him to utilise his pace

He already chooses not to do that as it is, so we'd probably just be treated to Gaspar's replacement doing an inexplicable and next-level maddening impersonation of Gaspar.

He’s easily the best finisher at the club - he’d be wasted as a wing back. See how many times he’s been found in the box already this season? That doesn’t happen if you make a WB as he will be asked to play exclusively wide and never inside. It is a nonsense idea.

He's a good player, but he will never have the quality to be a top 10 player in an advanced position.

Loftus-Cheek has played wing back for Chelsea this season, Lucas Moura had been tried there by Spurs. Both superior attacking threats to Sarr.

He has the raw pace and power to be decent there, and I personally think he'll end up playing there at some point in his career

We don’t need him to be a Top 10 PL player this season. We need him to be doing exactly what he’s been doing already this season.

So not sure why comparing him to those players is relevant right now? And both of those players have been put there in emergencies, nothing more.

Fine if you disagree but I think it’s a silly idea and would weaken the team far more than strengthening it.

I would also very much question that RLC is a superior attacking player than Sarr!
