I think we should all demand an audit of the poll. Dominion clearly rigged the final result.

The no vote thought they had it, but then the postal votes were counted. The noes are at this moment dusting off pointy hats and planning to overthrow WFC Forums.

Mods, is it possible to hide this section's results when hitting the "New Posts" button. I only ask because it was set to this previously.
Please don't take it personally politicos but when you lot get "discussing" it's nice to be able to mask it out.

I could swear the poll to ask if there should be a new politics section said no but that thread has been removed by the look of it. Why ask for the forums opinion, go against what it decides then hide the thread Skyla?

The mail-in ballots were subject to rampant fraud and the bad ballots were discarded after a thorough investigation.

Notice Skyla nor any of the mods have been in to answer the question or shed light on why this section is here seeing as the majority of people that voted didnt want the damn thing. Bloody weird. Maybe it gives them something to do and gives them a chance to flex that internet mod muscle.

You don't have to come in here if you don't want to read anything. This forum is quite literally opt in because it doesn't show up on the post tracking sections.

As was stated in the original thread nothing about the poll vote was set in stone, it was just a broad look on how the community felt about the topic. Had it been a dead straight zero for and twenty against then it probably wouldn't have happened. However - what was brought up several times was the fact Political discussions leak into other threads and derail them away from their intention.

As Diamond stated above, you can have your new post indicator from this forum hidden so it doesn't appear for you personally. This forum is totally optional to view or partake in, and so far it has been in good taste with no infighting. Rules of this particular section been laid out in the top thread - and as stated, action will be taken if anything gets out of hand.

Show the poll. If a majority voted no this section shouldnt be here. You hiding the poll is a clear abuse of mod powers in an attempt to hide your true agenda.

This is about forum politics and I will post where I damn please. The majority voted no in the poll, the poll was hidden and this section opened when it shouldnt have been. A clear abuse of mod powers has occured, you should be concerned.

I don't recall the poll saying that the result would determine whether the section would return or not.

For the record I voted no because I think "the usual suspects" are likely to make it rubbish again (I stopped posting towards the last few months of it's life).

But now it's back I'm going to see how it goes. If it does go down hill I shall ignore it (it's easy to do) and just frequent the football and tittle tattle threads again. I suggest that you do the same and let people get on with it, if that is what they want. I don't see why it should bother you.

You’re right, there’s no knowing where this could lead. The Mods seem innocent enough, but let this slide they could be invading Poland next.

For someone that wants to ignore the moderation team and doesn't want this section you seem to spend a lot of time responding to the moderation team and posting in this section.

I wonder if taking a break is a good idea?

Just saying like as a retired volunteer, no offence intended.

They’ve already wiped out one poll.

Showing the poll is pointless as I already stated twice that it was just a grass roots view of how the forum as a whole saw it. It was never the be all and end of the final decision. Like I said in an above post, nothing about what happened was ever set in stone. It was a collection of the votes and discussions that lead a choice of having this forum back for the primary reason of keeping the other forums politics free. Clearly you must have an interest in the subject having posted more than one thread here already.

I do understand your concerns about what happened last time, hence why the new procedures have been put in place. I/nobody is asking you to agree with the decision (after all it's a forum), nobody is going to manually force anyone to post where they feel they do not need to. A fair few members of this forum have political views and would rather debate here than on another forum which was designed especially for that reason, which again, doesn't suggest that yours or anyone else's beliefs that this forum existing is a bad idea is invalid. You are free to express your views, and I respect your insight as a valued member.

No one said you can't post where you please.

What I said what that complaining about a forum you can ignore and not interact with if you feel that strongly about it makes no sense.

Don't like it? No problem. Don't read it. Pretend it's not here.

    Easy!

We are not far of the first year anniversary when I created this sub forum, and can I just say (bar the odd problem) this forum has gone smoothly. So well done to all regular participants and here's to another year of winging about how badly the world is run. :)

The success is down to putting off those troublemakers with an interest in football. Boy can they cause a flap on a calm day.
