This is so bad that I can already hear the 1881 crew singing it.

    Houston, we have a problem.

Where on earth was he for their goal? I've given out about Louza's role in the goal, but still, there's a long way to go from there to our goal

Have to say he's really coming into his own... at celebrating other people's goals/final whistles. Not quite at Angella or Doucoure levels yet but promising signs.

I think a lot of the criticism and dismissive attitude towards him comes from the fact that he was signed while we were still in the PL and needed a saviour, which he clearly wouldn't be. But he's a good player at this level.

That and people thought he was a Makelele when he's much more of a poor man's Doucoure

Yeah very solid at this level. Not helped with the Bayat connection when it comes to fans perception of him. Same with Bayo.

Needs a pay rise so he can buy a new cap, the one he got on his trip to Paris in 2017 looks a bit worn out.

Just popping in to say, as someone who will go to their grave saying Kayembe is complete sh1te, he’s been brilliant in recent weeks.

I maintain it’s easy to stand out against non-existent opponents and if we ever were to compete at the top end of this league, or god forbid, the PL…he’d stand out like a sore thumb.

But yeah - came on to say I admit (to a point) I was wrong and he’s not as bad as I thought. Much prefer him being average over Louza being total garbage too.

I thought he was great last night, but could not even remmeber if he was in the team on Saturday. Looking at the stats he had only 34 touches in the full 90mins, no wonder I can't remmber seeing him do anything.

He seems to be working well with Kone in the middle plus Livermore behind him, on Saturday Louza started and the midfield went to pot. I guess that Kone was on the bench having played for Canada during the international break. I hope that except when unavoidable that Kayembe and Kone are in the starting line up from now on.

To be fair, I’ve always said Louza is crap and was a monumental waste of money in a time where we didn’t have it to waste. Never got what anyone saw in him. Was never cut out for what we needed.

Kone has shown more potential, and more importantly, fight, than Louza ever has.

Saw him play a right footed pass at one point. At least I think I did. I had to go and lie down after that…

No coincidence that Kayembe is playing his best football for us now that he's playing in his best role

Have been paying more attention to him lately and he just glides around the pitch popping up and doing simple little things then invariably ends up with a goal scoring opportunity a couple of times a game.

Got to be honest I really misjudged him. In this league, for our team he is top notch.

Not sure it’s really about misjudging him. He was, previously, utterly useless. Now whether that’s down to not being up to PL level (which is ultimately where we signed him to contribute), being played out of position, needing time to acclimatise, injuries and fitness issues, or something else, I think it’s still fair to say he wasn’t good enough before this recent run in the team.

He’s now showing his worth and has made himself undroppable, and that’s great. It’s a shame it’s taken him so very long to do that but if he cracks on from here I’m all for it.

What I like is that EK can play in a number or central midfield positions

Absolutely. Shouldn't forget that until his recent excellent form, his time here mainly consisted of him killing attacks by holding onto the ball for an eternity or completely failing to track a runner when playing as the defensive central midfielder.

One of the first names on the team sheet now though!

Well he can play in a few roles, just like Sierralta (and probably a few others in the squad if absolutely stretched), but it doesn't mean he's as good in those roles as he is in his day job as an Abdoulaye Doucoure tribute act, and that's part of the reason why we were so frustrated by him for so long

Vastly improved and I’m very impressed by him.

Louza is more talented but Kayembe has by far the better attitude and work ethic. I’d take that over Louza any day
