Sorry, I know that a thread has just closed on this but I missed it. Can anyone help me get the 'edit' function on my account? I haven't had the option since the site was updated....
Since whatever you did a couple of days ago Meister mine seems to be affected too. I'm absolutely sure I had more than 15 minutes before - can you extend it again please?
Why the 15 minutes. It seems to make sense to be able to edit something posted incorrectly than create a new post to amend a mistake?
Yes defo unlimited before. Most people are probably not bothered but i always (used to) go back and correct things if i saw mistakes in my posts. I noticed i left out a full stop in my training ground thread and it's been bugging me
I'm still getting a hang of the back end. The purpose of the editing window is so people can't put up naughty stuff and then change it later before mods have a chance to investigate reports. I'ts specifically aimed at newer accounts as the spammers and nutters seem to get weeded out very quickly. You'd be shocked at the volume of accounts we block or dump, but occasionally the odd one gets through. What I have changed shouldn't have impacted older more experienced accounts so I'll have another look when I can to see what can be done but time's a bit precious for me at the moment.
Any update on this? I meant to type "pubic" but accidentally typed "public" and would like to correct my reverse Freudian slip.
I've been looking for it all over the place, the option just doesn't seem to be there at all for me. Not sure if anyone else is experiencing the same thing.
You should remove the edit function. Stand by your original comment! Edit: unless you really want to.
