Have the settings changed for ads on the mobile version of the site? Last couple of days it's been serving me with Google ads on a drop down from the top of the screen and in pop ups. It's pretty annoying. And it's only on this website so almost certainly not malware on my phone. I use the low key skin rather than the bright yellow/red one, if that makes a difference.
No blockers. And it's Chrome on my mobile, so any updates are just the official patches rolled out periodically. This is the only website I'm getting the ads on. It looks like this when it's at the top: But sometimes they cover the whole screen, which is annoying. Harrow's is a good example. Other times there's no ads at all. Previously the mobile skin had no ads on it.
Just usual google ads to pay for running the site been there for donkeys years I think? Maybe the particular ad it is serving up is more annoying than usual? It's browser cache based., Mine normally comes up with other wfcforums pages. If you weren't seeing it before maybe they were blocked previously for some reason. Possibly google changed it's terms? Not changes to the site that I'm aware of but maybe one for @nisman94
Hmmm. Definitely not been there before on mobile browser on here. In fairness the ad at the top is pretty unobtrusive - it's the whole screen pop ups that are a nuisance.
There should be a disable pop ups option I would think. I don't use Chrome but there certainly is in Firefox.
There is but pop-ups are already blocked. The ads aren't coming up in a new tab though - they just overlay the whole screen. Cheers though.
Ive been getting the same. Adverts used to be contained in a box within the page. Now they're intrusive. Chrome on android btw.
UEA was only talking about the ads on this site. You're going to need to clear your internet browser/ cookies. Extensively.
