Loved that. Pretty sure he's shouted something as he's done it, which technically should be an indirect FK, which makes it funnier

Nice interview with him on Hive with Emma S.
Emma begins by adopting her Catarella persona at the start of the interview, presumably to make Masina feel at home.
Adam's English is very good and he comes across well, despite winning the "in this moment" award for March 2021!

I thought he played well today, even aside from his goal. Strong in the middle at set pieces and only let Knockaert past him once, I think.

And he does seem a positive, supportive player to have around. I noticed how he kept chatting to Hungbo a lot, and also did the same when Pedro made his debut.

I agree, a good game from Adam.
    He has a winning personality.
Last season he smacked some poor lady in the warm up with a shot. He was very upset and at the end of the game sought her out and gave her his shirt and made sure she was ok.
He didn't have to do that,he'd already apologised and in truth anyone in the Rookery that doesn't keep their eyes on the pitch is in trouble, but it was a lovely gesture.
    Clearly a good sort.

Knockaert had an absolute mare and didn't look interested, but he was absolutely commanding whoever he was duelling with, good to see after a shaky last few games

He hasn't played well in the last few games but if ever there's an opponent to raise your game against, Knockaert has to be right up there. Was a joy to watch him and Zinckernagel reduce him to a cry baby who looked like he wanted to come off the pitch. Kudos to Bachmann too for constantly chipping aerial balls out to the left wing for Masina smash him as he won the headers. And the icing on the cake of course, is that Masina won us the game after Knockaert didn't track him because his head had already dropped.

I’ve been a big critic of him but thought he was very good defensively and getting forward as well.

I noticed at the end of the game he spoke to both Murray and Garner and both of them had smiles on their faces after he spoke to them, and he comes across as a nice guy.

As for his footballing ability I think he gets far to much stick from many on here, as I think he is a decent Championship performer, maybe not a top class one but a good steady player who does a decent job.

I know I am not going to prove popular by saying this.
I would not lose a wink of sleep if they did away with international fixtures completely. They are in my view, nothing but a nuisance.

They have become bloated that is true - 48 at the next World Cup meaning the qualifying games are a bit pointless for the big nations as they have no trouble qualifying unlike when GT got all that stick and it was a lot harder.

Our hardest game in this World Cup group will be Poland who are good but we'll probably still win.

Problem is I love the summer tournaments. Iconic and era defining. But the qualifiers are a massive pain now there are so many teams.

I’d think they would be better almost playing them in one block over a month rather than having an interruption every month or so.

Trouble is England mainly win all their games so there is no real competition or excitement in the qualifiers.

Tomorrow will be more of a test v Poland but without lewandowski their threat is probably greatly reduced.

Utterly pointless games. Southgate will learn nothing from a game with no fans and nothing at stake. I consider myself a massive football fan but couldn’t care less whether we win 6-0 or lose 6-0. Just like my take on FA cup finals.

It is a World Cup qualifier so the win will be important to them as a competitive game before the Euros rather than a drawn out friendly with 10 subs at least but not the biggest game certainly at the end of a busy domestic season.

Morocco's games were African Cup of Nations qualifiers (you know, that tournament that takes away the best African players from club duty for 2 weeks every second year), with Morocco more or less qualified already

Yes but was referring to UT’s post about England.

Regarding the African Nations cup least it has moved to the summer which is some sort of improvement.

Whoops yeah, I should have noticed the bit about the Euros! The AFCON now is scheduled to be in the summer now indeed, although the Covid affected next edition takes place in January 2022

    Hmm.

That will ruffle a few feathers !

Liverpool would be without Salah and Mane.

I agree, I have quite enjoyed watching the three England games, and I also enjoy the summer tournaments, but it is a right pain having players taken out, and two weeks without club football.
One good thing though I suppose, if anyone wanted a short holiday without missing any games of the club which they support, then international breaks could be quite useful.

I think this lad has come on leaps and bounds this season and we should definitely offer him a better contract and retain his as 1st choice LB next season, although if Ashley Young comes on board it should be an interesting battle between them both, a nice position for WFC to be in.

Any word on his injury? Be gutted if it's serious. IMO he was one of the biggest reasons for our turnaround last season.
