I don't think this is the case - for us it's more preferable if the bigger and wealthier clubs go up, thus giving us more hope of being competitive again in future seasons. The wheels will surely have to come off a bit for Ipswich at some point, but Leeds should still have another season of trying to spend their way out of the division. And based on what we've seen from the teams so far, on the very slim chance we somehow scrape in to the playoffs I'd rather we came up against Ipswich than the other two.
Yes, exactly, 3 big clubs to go up from the champ and the 3 relatively smaller promoted clubs last season to come back down.
I never thought they would because they've been steadily improving and building over time but lots did...
And even if they're not getting marmalised now, they have 9 points in mid December, they're hardly lighting the league up!
B Bachmann would have palmed the shot before the first goal well away rather than directly into the path of the scorer. He could possibly have stopped the second, he's certainly good at 1on1's.
Last night was hard to take. I think we should have won, and that would have kick started our season I believe. That chance Ince had before they scored the winner should have gone in, a player of his experience MUST do better in that situation. As others have stated, need a big reaction on Saturday. I think we have the mental chops to go up north and win games now, which hasn't been the case in the last few years.
I'm looking forward to Preston . I agree that we now have a team that can bounce back from a disappointment !. Milton Keynes to Manchester then on the rattler to Preston £33 return. What's not to like !!
