It's so loud that you can barely have a conversation with the person sitting next to you, utterly stupid.

Really poor matchday experience before you even get to the football.

The enthusiastic commentary of the half time penalty school out was completely deafening.

    Bring back Tim!

She made Richard Walker seem tame which is quite a feat.

Absolutely dreadful. The main topic of discussion at half time, to the extent we could discuss between screeches !

The tannoy is too loud in general. It doesn’t seem to have been lowered since Boogate last season and once again, the music was blaring before the referee had even finished blowing the full time whistle.

The match day experience is awful and somehow is getting worse. Couple that with the club sinking on the pitch, we’ll see a half empty stadium for a league game this season.

    It was particularly bad yesterday.

We have had an excellent female announcer before and we have run the audio effectively before. I don't think criticising the sound set-up is sexist or offensive. But it was really unpleasant and they have to fix it, or it will turn into a sexist thing.

If it is a man who controls the volume yes, it needs to be turned down.

And the needle got stuck on whatever the dirge was that they were playing before z-cars. At this rate I'll have to change my arrival time to 2 minutes past 3 not 2 minutes to as it has always been

Whoever she was you can’t knock her enthusiasm but it was toe curling, embarrassing and at times patronising - “thanks for your absolutely fantastic support”.

She should really be working at a Disney theme park. They love that overly positive and excited demeanour.

Its purposely loud enough to drown out anyone daring to complain about the actual football.

It was a shambles. The Middlesbrough players has to ask the referee if they could start the game as Your Song continued for far too long.

The announcer woman was so irritating- she was happy to be there I understand and I’m not sure if she was nervous but she just kept talking incessantly. Talking for talking’s sake.

The half time shootout was ridiculous and for me it took away from the kids actually participating.

Yeah, she managed to suck the joy out the kids' big moment - dragging it out and patronising them to within an inch of their lives, all at ear splitting volume.

Emma Saunders feels like a very distant memory. Just like everything else at the club, this is the latest thing done badly on the cheap with a big fake smile over the top telling us how great it all is.

It was at least 3, possibly 4 season ago when they turned up the volume at half time and started playing adverts. I remember clearly thinking that the only break I get from this sh*t show is at half time, and now they've taken that away.

Not sure why they play the chorus twice, just end it after the first "how wonderful life is...".

For various reasons, I haven’t actually managed to get to a game yet this season (renewing the season ticket possibly wasn’t the smartest choice). This thread is just giving me yet another reason not to go…

How much did it cost Knight to see the 3 days. When in can you mill around as you please or do some grandstands have priority ticketing?

Each day was around 180 Euros per person. The grandstands do have a ticketing policy but we never tried getting in to them so not sure how it worked. We walked around many of the holes and it was very well designed with a lot of banks to sit on so you got a good view. The final day we watched everybody come through the second hole, then watched a bit of hole 6 before settling down on the 15th. From there we could see the players coming up the fairway and an excellent view of the green plus we could see them driving on the reachable par 4 16th. We could also see the winning putt on from Fleetwood on the 16th green
It was a fabulous weekend and Rome is incredible. This was the third one I've been to and they are well worth going to for the atmosphere alone even if you don't like golf (Mrs Knight GT came and never watches any golf).
I've been lucky enough to see various big sporting occasions but I think the Ryder Cup is probably my favourite

Sounds awesome. Need to visit Rome as well!
The only Ryder Cup I've been to was at The Belfry in 2002. It was the first day so not many groups out and it was too overcrowded, so I didn't enjoy it that much. I've found The Open to be much better for spectating at the various places I've watched it.

A new thread for best ever sporting experience would be a great idea.

Rome was incredible, if you've never been it's one of the best cities I've been to. Take a guided tour as well. The Colosseum and The Forum is just astonishing.
Best day to go The Ryder Cup is definitely Sunday when there are 12 matches going on at once

I absolutely endorse your view of Rome. It’s my favourite ‘big’ city of those I’ve been to. One of the great things about it is that all the sights you want to see in the centre are really quite close to each other, so you can just wander about and come across them, unlike, say, Paris.

Turns out my elderly mother e-mailed the club to complain and got a reply from one of the media fellows agreeing it was too loud.

I'm sure it wasn't the only complaint they received.

Was much better yesterday. Your Song didn’t go on for too long either.

Sandstorm playing as the players come out for the second half is a bit loud but not a massive issue

I see Hoots Mon has been given the heave-ho. Or did they play it after Depeche Mode? - I was long gone.
